Builders are already tearing into the Big Brother house to give it a "complete overhaul" in time for the new series this May.
According to heat, the redesign will incorporate a bigger garden and "even a secret garden".
The living quarters are expected to be expanded to accomodate a larger number of housemates. As previously reported (http://bigbrother.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds8947.html), BB7 will last a record thirteen weeks.
The magazine also claims that the new series will launch as usual on the last Friday in May - this year falling on the 26th - dampening previous speculation that it may be brought forward by two weeks.
"We're all chuffed to bits that we've got the go-ahead to run for so long," said a source at production company Endemol. "But we've really got our work cut out, as we need to sort out the right mix of contestants."
A pair of identical twins could become housemates in this summer's show, according to a report in the Daily Star Sunday.
The duo would appear as part of the Big Brother "twin twist", already featured in the US, Australia and Brazil. Only one of the twins would initially enter the house but would be secretly replaced by the other after a few days.
Also rumoured to be on the shortlist are a wheelchair-bound contestant and a hopeful with Tourette's Syndrome
