Phil gives Johnny an ultimatumAirs Tuesday, March 28 2006 at 18:30

Outside of Johnny's house, Phil explains to his brother about the promise he made Sharon just after Dennis was killed. While snooping around the house, Phil is stunned when he realises that not everything is where he left it in the driveway…

Johnny, meanwhile, kicks back in his office with a stiff drink and decides to monitor the CCTV footage… Mayhem ensues resulting in Grant, Phil and Johnny and in all-out brawl. Ruby's anger has drastic consequences for her father.

Ruby and Grant make small talk over a cup of tea. Phil explains the difficulties fatherhood brings while Ruby explains how Juley broke her heart.

Back in the study, Phil shows Johnny the CCTV footage from the night Dennis attacked him. Johnny finally admits that he made a call to Danny on the night of Dennis's death.

Will this be enough to appease Phil? After hearing enough from Ruby, Grant bursts into the study and confronts Phil about his recent dealings… What impact will this have on Phil's mission to bring justice to Johnny?

Grant confronts PhilAirs Thursday, March 30 2006 at 18:30

After learning what his brother is really like, how will Grant react to Phil's confession? Johnny, meanwhile, takes advantage of the family feud – a gunshot is fired…

A car chase ensues and in the process, Johnny calls Peggy and threatens her. Grant's also one step ahead and phone the Vic to alert Billy to the impending threat…

Jake learns of the shenanigans and heads out to find his brother. Johnny and Phil have yet another confrontation – Johnny emerges from the Range Rover asking Phil to settle the score. The altercation results in one of them speeding off…

Jake finally finds Danny. Will Danny listen?

Later, Phil and Grant have a minor accident in a skip yard. They turn to see Danny standing in front of them with a metal bar… What's Danny got planned?

I feel sorry for Jake though - he shoots at Danny, just to injure him and prevent him from killing Grant and Phil, and ends up killing him himself - oops! And then has to bury him, himself!

I wonder how Grant will react to Phil having paid Juley though. I mean, thats the secret that is revealed, but whats Grants reaction going to be...:hmm:

From what Sharon Marshall said it sounds like a poor week in ee but she said that Johnny Allen and Ruby are excellent.

From what i understand i could be wrong they leave the spade in the middle of were they have buried Danny and that is careless considering fingerprints and the fact someone could find the body when they see the spade. :hmm:

As far as I'm aware it's only Jake that buries Danny. According to one of the tv mags Jake frees the Mitchells and tells them to go back to Walford, then buries him.

An apparently Jake tries to danny from digging a bigger hole when danny is about to kill the mitchell brothers they are tide up jake decides to hurt danny so he can stop him but doesnt mean to kill him or anything it is accidential and jake is heartbroken. :hmm:

I'll post some pictures of this when the new screen arrives. I read that Jake makes a split second decision to save the Mitchell brothers and shoots Danny, only meaning to wound him.

Yeah, it's not like them to be so understanding is it?! I feel sorry for Jake, he does seem to have a lot on his plate. His brother dies, and then Johnny puts him in charge of keeping an eye on Ruby (well giving her money anyway, but it seems he may expect him to look out for her as well).

I'm confused about where Jake is working now? I thought Pat put Jake in charge of the bookies, but then he was at Scarletts the other night dealing with a 'supposed' delivery. Where does he work?!

Actually going by other spoilers, I think it's not Johnny putting Jake in charge (as I thought it was at first as well), but Jake taking on the responsibility himself.

I'd say Jake's still working at the bookies. Mainly because if he's not, then who is because Pat sure as hell isn't anymore. I remember all the thing last year about how she was really good at it, and she really loved working there, but I don't think she's mentioned it for at least a month. I think the whole "delivery" thing the other night was just Danny being an idiot.

I got the impression that Jake worked in the bookies and when he recieved a text from an unknown number, thought it was Johnny because he is still in charge of Scarlet, and thought it would be best if he went along to see what he wanted.

The Mitchells boys can be understanding at times, not very often admittedly. Yet they know what it would've cost Jake to accidently kill his brother, they wouldn't leave him to deal with it on his own.

Jake wouldn't work for Johnny even if Johnny paid him everything he had, the bookies was Dennis's and Sharons business.

Jake may have thought that Johnny would do something against him if he didn't go to see what he wanted, and went for that or purely because he was curious.

DEAD BRUVS WALKING
The Mitchell boys go after Johnny Allen but then face being killed themselves

http://images.icnetwork.co.uk/upl/m2/mar2006/8/3/00022437-D2FD-1423-96420C01AC1BF814.jpg

AS much as viewers will be hoping that the second coming of the Bruvvers Grimm will be as hilarious as their original return last October, this time the humour is at the expense of Philthy Phil and Grunt.

Even Grant Mitchell is a little bewildered to find himself inexplicably outside a remote country mansion and Phil telling him he is ‘confrontin’ the demons. Welcome to Johnny Allen’s’.

‘This is a joke,’ stupid slaphead says to porky slaphead. ‘You ain’t gunna sort yer ’ead aht by playin’ Knock Down Ginger wiv some ’as-been villain.’

Well, from the moment Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumber set off into rural Essex on Monday to deal with ‘a situation’ – with Grant waving goodbye to daughter Courtney who’s staying with grannie Peg – you really do wonder what this expedition is all about.

They are the Batman And Dobbin of soapland’s comic book heroes. Five months ago they helped make sure Chrissie Watts went dahn for murdering Dirty Dirty Den. Now they want to avenge the slaying of his son Dennis Rickman.

Look,’ Grunt tells Philthy helpfully, ‘if you wanna wind somebody up, let’s go back to Walford. You can dangle Ian Beale off the roof of the Vic.’

For Phil, who is living with the guilt of sending Dennis to his death, and leaving Sharon without a father for her unborn baby, this is all a matter of honour. Ha!

‘The day that me an’ Sharon left for America,’ he reminds his bruv, ‘I promised that I’d get ’er justice. An’ that’s what I’m doin’ ’ere today…’

Villain Johnny Allen may be holed up in his rural hideaway with drippy daughter Ruby and a hi-tech security system, but that is soon breached by Phil simply reversing through the gates in his Range Rover and strolling through an open door.

For all Johnny’s paranoia, his only other protection is weedy Danny Moon – and frankly, you’d find more mussels on a jellied eel stall.

Add the fact it’s the second anniversary of the death of Johnny’s wife and daughter Scarlet, and the whole business smacks of being some ludicrous gangland parody.

Ross Kemp and Steve McFadden can be fun as Grunt and Philthy, and there are lot of fights, car chases, revelations and sawn-off shotguns going off. But they’re let down by an unconvincing concept.

Told over this week’s four episodes, the big showdown comes on Friday when the bruvs are finally captured by Dennis’s real killer, Danny, and taken into the woods to be executed – unless Dan’s brother Jake can rescue them.

Dead bruvs walking? On their salaries, obviously not. But somebody else is taken out in a body bag…

How childish this soapbox mirror is, they call the characters names and are childish in their writing. IF they had thought about it, they could've done a better job if they hadn't used school ground antics.

Grant and Phil may not be the brightest characters in Walford but the writers usually give them better scenes than some of the rubbish they;ve put out over the years.
