Web Cam no sound ?

I purchased two web cams in a deal from PC world,My son installed one on my computer and one on my sisters. The picture quality is wonderful on both,but I can not recieve sound from my sister ?, she can hear me perfectly,they were both installed the same,both via usb,we both have the same make of computer too. So why can't I recieve sound from my sister.We have checked all the usual things like mute etc, the mic does work as this has been checked, any ideas would be welcomed, as it is so annoying.

When mine didnt work, it was because I hadnt enabled the microphone on the computer, but if you've checked that and it works I dont know!

it is annoing when a cam don't work because all your mates want it on

we went on tools on msn and re entered everything again and hay presto it works. So now I can see and chat to my sister for free,rather than drive 8 miles.

They are fab - my family live in Scotland but my sis has a webcam so they all go to her house to call me!
