nope not a fan, sonia and martin should be together!Sonia was better when she was on her own!!
Sonia was better when she was on her own!!I agree Chris - then or when she was with Jamie, but I don't like the Sonia Naomi relationship - it needs exploring but already tonight Sonia was asking Naomi's permission to go and see Martin - whats going on with that!!!

I am. I see nothing wrong with two women being together in that way. Yes it was hard on Martin and Sonia should have talked to him/given him a proper explanation before leaving but the square are so homohbic and just rarely some women in straight marriages can find out they are gay or bi.

its not that we dont like them because they are lesbians, because im fine with that its just when they are together their acting skills are very poor, natallie cassidy used to be really good until recently

I'm certainly not agains a lesbian storyline but it is a bit od, Sonia is all over the place having a child at 15, losing the love of her life, marrying his killer and now this 360 degrees turnaround. How much can a person take at such a young age? And them living together at Gary's and Minty's, that flat is too small I gather.

i think she should of known she was a lesbian by now! i cant see how you can just turn into one over night

Must you constantly be rude about Natalie's physical appearance. Is that encouraged on these boards.
And as for her being a crap actress, well as I've said before that is simply a bias because you don't like her. Do you even watch it, because you certainly haven't been watching the same show as me or the critics. They might disagree about this current storyline but they all say the acting is top notch and what a cracking actress Natalie is.
natalie is full of herself because she has boob job
I'm surprised at you prettypayal, that is not true and you used to be nicer than this.
Why are people snipping at Natalie Cassidy. She is playing a role and Sonia is that character. I thought these boards were better than that.

Hey Lizzie Brookes, I am glad you've started this thread, I thought I was the only one who liked the Sonia/Naomi/Martin love triangle. IMO the actors have all been acting very well. This storyline has been building up over a long time, and some people get impatient and bored of it, but I think it's been great! :cheer:

I don't think it was overnight, this was building and most people do know but don't want to face that they might be gay so they hide it. She might be bi-sexual as she still loves martin too. I think this is a good story line and as Sonia herself said on friday "we married to young". she had nothing in common at all with martin but she has so much with Naomi. I don't like Naomi as an actress but I think Nat and James are doing a great job

I cant stand them but its not because they are lesbians its just because as seperate characters they are both annoying and boring together they are twice as worse

Great minds think alike eh. So what if they are both female? They are soulmates and belong together. WhenI looked inthe poll on the site there were a few whio liked them together like me.

Thats not always the case though. Sodium is a corrosive metal and hlorine a poisonous gas but when they combione they create salt and we all like salt. I agree that Sonia can be annoying but thats only when she's with Martin. With Naomi she becomes nicer.

I agree with Sihoban, it wasn't overnighht and did build up. It can appen and she could be bi. She was right to say they married young. Although I think it was wropng of Sonia to walk out on him without a proper explanationand that she can be selfish in some ways shee and Naomi are more mature than Martin.

Well this is EastEnders lol. But it can happen. People in styraight marriaes can find out they are gay or bi.
I'm not sure who i hate more Sonia or Naomi..
people who came up with these sickening storylines -plz have have MERCY on us and get rid of this horrible storyline, no even better idea kill off sonia and naomi. make them jump off a cliff together and let us see the dead bodies so we know there are dead for real and that they aint gonna pop up 14 years down the line. lol
I'm not sure who i hate more Sonia or Naomi..
I think Naomi is the worst actress so I'll go for her! Though they both irritate me now - what did Sonia think was going to happen when she told people? That everyone woudl be fine?
Its a bit of a shock to them!

Am I to understand that if Sonia had done it to Jamie it would have been OK? But then Jamie was the love of her life.......but she still married his "killer" - who like that story line!
Eastenders has lost the plot!
Others have said that it has built up (not) ....however what this story has shown me is that SONIA is not the same character that grew up on our screens and that since bringing in the nursing element we are to view that Martin is wrong about everything..... excuse me if you can marry the 'love of your life' killer then you can be expected to work at any other small problem
Remember ... Sonia was YOUNGER still when she was with Jamie (but no one had anything really to say about that story - as it was sweet).
Are Eastenders now saying that Sonia, who gave away her daughter, supported her Mum Carol and her sister (all hard mature decisions) has had a personality transplant?
We are expected to understand the both of them had never considered a same sex relationship have now had a major revelation and "want to be together"? But did not even attempt to make her marriage work.
Eastenders has had other same sex relationships but at least there ws some screen chemistry. Sonia and Naomi look like "acting" the part and it just not convincing to other that's why I think this story is HATED.
Sorry Eastenders, I know it's a soap but life is not just about revolving door sex and relationships and trying to force poorly conceived story on others is not doing the "Homo/Bisexual" cause (if this is what your trying to do) any good. And as some one straight that has non-straight friends of both genders........ I asked them and THEY think the story lines crap too and is doing them no FAVOURS! Do it properly or leave it alone.
Watching Eastenders these days is like watching a car crash - you can't stop looking but what you see on many occaisions is totally (un) shocking, gross and/or disgusting!

I hate this storyline although it was not done overnight through growing up Sonia has never once portrated a single sign that she may be attracted to females. I also think Naomi is another worthless character theyve brought into the square who cant act she is on par with the Ferriarahs (think thats how you spell it). I wish ee and the other soaps would stop exploring the leasbian thing between two best friends just to attract a male audience. This does not mean I am a homophobic I just think they are exploring sexuaity wrong. Emmerdale had the right idea with zoe tate.

Thanks Richie, my problem is that I have been watching EE since the opening "death" -call Doctor Legg - scene 21 years ago and have seen the good, bad and dam right ugly story lines but hey we all have a weakness  ......
Another thought .... would have been to see SONIA work through this regardless of the final out come but according to EE no one has a rational grey cell between their ears and they therefore re-"act" (excuse the pun) :D.
I'm going to do a James Brown impression "please, please, please etc" :wall: EE wind this story up quick before the new characters get on our screen, so that we can get annoyed about the other crap story lines your writers produce for our increased BBC licence. Just how much :hmm: do you pay your writers? - it either not enough so they write crap (no incentive); or it Too much and feel that they are too important (complacent) to actually think therefore write crap. :banned:

I can only share your sympathies Aunty, speaking as someone who has also followed this once great programme from the moment Den, Ali and Arthur burst into Reg Cox's home, and Den muttering the lines "Cor, sticks in 'ere". The show is so awful in comparison. I reckon the beeb should stick their finger out and show old 80s and 90s episodes just before the current episodes, then people will sit back and realise how far this show has fallen in the last three years. I dread to think how much of the Telly Tax is going on the current tosh.
Mmm James Brown impression eh, not James Wilmott Brown?! :p

what I don't understand is how come the BBC can make fantastic Dramas but not put the effort into their one soap who has been wining them awards for years. Storylines, including this one, for some people have been a load of tosh!!! Should EE go back to twice a week and give us quality??

Certainly it needs to drop the Friday episode. That was really when the cracks started to appear when it went to 4x a week. Three per week should be OK, but according to the previous BBC charter, the beeb are still happy to have it 4x a week still. Cutting back would only solve part of the problem however. I need to sort out the writing team, the scriptwriters and some of the cast, along with the way the soap is run, if it wants to return to its once proud glory.
I should add that the two other big soaps desperately need to cut back their episodes too.

this is probably not the right thread to talk about it in but yes, cutting down would be good. take last weeks 4 episode, how much more exciting would it had been if is had been reduce to 3 action packed episodes? Same with this Sonia/Naomi storyline, that week where she left martin dragged on, could have deduce and made an impact
