Hi
Has anyone been watchin the Apprentice on BBC Two? Thought I'd start a thred as its been on for a few weeks now.

I watched it last night. The way Alan Sugar fired the Lawyer was funny.

I just find the show full of ego, self centrered people who always think me, me, me.

Good entertainment though!

I watch it when I can. Sorry I missed it last night but it is repeated on sunday so I will watch it then. The american version has bigger ego's and Donald Trumps fantastic hair piece which would frighten me more than been fired by him

That was really funny, she was sooo shocked!!! Obviously thought she'd got away with it as he hadn't said much.

Your right about what the show is like but I do find it enjoyable, they are all a bunch of plonkers really!

Omg!! I love The Apprentice!! I watched all of series one and doing the same with series two!! I don't know why but I really enjoy watching this!! I love the way Sir Alan says " You're Fired! " :rotfl: Classic!! :p

I don't watch the aftershow thing on BBC 3 but yep.. I love watching it!!

Does anyone think that maybe Karen (if that's her name) should have stayed in her own ways? I was just a bit taken a back seeing as I don't think Sir Alan can come with someone like Jo!! + There I was thinking another leader was going to go!!

is it just me or does anyone else think that they shouldn't have split the two groups by gender? it just seems to make it unneccessarily political, and i'm sure in Alan Sugar's company the departments aren't purely male or female, considering he wants to know how the individuals work with other people it doesn't seem very realistic. and you could tell last night that that when they swapped leaders they were both a bit self-conscious about suddenly working with the team of the opposite gender when all the way through they hadn't/

at the start they always do that. leave the groups as male/female and when the numbers go down they mix the groups

I do like it but have to say it's not a patch on the Donald Trump series - looking at "prospective" employees in this series, you have to wonder????, would you employ some of them? why did they buy 100 chickens last night for only 90 pizzas in the end - all 3 should have gone. Have to agree with Alan Sugars frustration - but I wish his two "helpers" would have more input, they constantly agree with him in the boardroom but only have he has made a comment.

Trinity

Syed is so full of himself. He was really the problem last night. That said Alexa was a very weak project manager who also deserved to go - she should have reined Syed in.

Tuan(sp?) didn't deserve to go. He was in charge of budgeting, there was £8 to spare at the end - he did his job and was majorly let down by the other duffers, not all of whom were in the boardroom at the end.

I wouldn't give Alexa a job as an office junior - total was of space

Syed was full of himself last night!! Jo is annoying I agree but she shouldn't have been brought the the board room, I felt Ruth only did it because of past tasks and reasons. I see no way how Jo can win this, so I will be really suprised if she does. I think the helpers just play along for the camera when its just them three as they only agree with him, surely they don't agree with everything all the time. We never see Margaret much either.. :searchme:

I was pleased she went too but I reckon the only reason he got rid of her is because of how many times she was in there. I would do the same though, four times in six weeks. I thought Ansell did ok, he wouldn't have been the person I would have chosen to go out of the 'purple team'.

I was surprise the team with the least car experience sold the most, the other team's biggest mistake was not selling the extras. I kinda missed at bit at the end cause my phone rang but did Jo beg Sir Alan to keep her???

I thought that Jo was abysmal in the task this week. Worse than her poor performance in most of the other tasks. Good riddance!

sharon was v. poor as well - a big disappointment in the PM role, though I wouldn't like to have to manage Syed!

I am not too fond of Ruth, when she it is something she likes, she dominates. I like Paul. he has good ideas, can lead well and if he doesn't know something, he finds out. Look at last weeks task when he was PM. Nobody had any idea and he stepped up and won it for them. It was also his idea this week to sell the extras

Yes very true but to me she seems to have more drive than he does. I remember him saying a while back that he knows he is the Apprentice and he could have a fairly good chance. I thought the winning team each week would all depend on the PM of the task and how they run it but it's down to everyone pulling together really eh!

I agree, Paul is a good bloke.

Ruth was excellent at the car selling task, but I wouldn't want her on my team. She is not a team player, if she disagrees then she will now help.

I would like to see Michelle as PM next week, we don'r know what she is made of yet.
Syed is a liar and I wouldn't trust him in my sight let alone out of it.

I know what you mean.. he was so slimy last night. Sharon was doing a brilliant job in the dressing room and he was so creepy not handing that woman over to her.. he stood there and watched her try a top on.:nono:. Syed has to go a.s.a.p. He's a liar and just so very annoying, the only reason he should stay is the fact that he brings more entertainment to the show. I don't like Paul either, he acts like a know-it-all too much for my liking. Ruth or Hansell should win really. They are the 2 best

Yes, that's what I thought when Sir Alan was mentioning about "the badgers" slight backstabbing (which he claims to not like). But it makes it even more dramatic when you think it's going to go one way, then it goes another.

I reckon it's going to be boring now that Saaed's "the city lad" has gone. How I will miss his constant interruptions and Sir Alan saying 'shut up' to him in the boardroom.

I also thought Paul came across as less arrogant this week, and we got to see the fun "dad dance" side of him. And as always the other two weren't quite so keen to hog the limelight.

Ansell to win! Paul 2nd and the blonde one (the name of which escapes me) 3rd.

I think that she did - she isnt one for sitting on the fence and not saying something she would have either confrounted Syed about it or ignored what he said and bought less Champagne, she likes to win - so she wouldn't have risked it

OR the other thought is she did read it and wasn't lying and basically taking the risk that if only she and Syed were in the board room - then it was likely that Syed would be the one to go, after the way that the last few board rooms have gone for him

I think that Sir Alan identifies with Michelle's troubled back ground, work ethic and strong family values.

She worked 3 jobs at 15 to help her family! She makes Cinderella seem spoilt!

Ruth may be too like Saira(?) the runner up from series one, she is soooo in your face. That said, although I didn't like Paul I could never have predicted what happened last night!

It is a complete shame about Ansell.. he was the better of the two. I don't think I could work for someone like Ruth, she would really annoy me. I am still not sure about Michelle either

I think Michelle is really adept at hiding her feelings, which perhaps makes her seem hard? (The over plucked eyebrows don't help much on that score, either)

I think that she is the type you would warm to as you got to know her and she relaxed a little. I think that she would be very professional and of the two I would prefer her as a boss.

I am picturing 'Headhunter' Paul as he places office temps... He gets paid less full time than I get paid part time!

Actually I was suprised at how little Paul was getting paid for been a headhunter.. Is Michelle mad leaving a really well paid job that she obviously likes??? Ruth I can understand, she looks very power hungry.

I don't believe that he is a headhunter.

I think he has worked in 'Office Angels' as a 'recruitment consultant' for the one month he was talking about. He has obviously not made it to the training courses on "How to prepare for interviews" and "How to produce CVs and complete application forms"!

I was really shocked at how badly Paul came across in the interview - I think that he thought if he could convince himself that he was brilliant everyone else would think so too - I found it interesting that Nick and Margaret seemed to be behind him more than any of the other 3 - in the tasks he was much more focused and organised than the other candidated. I didnt like the bloke but I do wonder if it was just nerves that got to him, he must have had something to get onto the show

I loath Ruth - she is a in your face sort of person who thinks she knows better than anyone - I would think that she wouldnt last long - I didn't believe that she gave up all the share options ect and as one of the interviewers said if you believed what she said you wouldnt need anyone else but Ruth to work for you as she single handly is reposable for everything

I did like Ansel - but he did seem like a "one trick pony" and for being a mega salesman he never did overly well in the selling tasks - at least he was a nice guy!

Michelle - she is a real dark horse and I think she will have to really mess up not to win - I don't think that Sir Alan has much respect for Ruth and I don't think that he trusts her much. I think that he likes that Michelle is self made.

The thing that annoys me with Ruth is that she comes across as aggressive.. she would make a good politician, banging her hand on the table to make a point.. you know when she is getting upset or lying... her face goes really red

Go Michelle, Ruth is far too pushy, she would end up telling Sir Alan how to run his business!

I want Ruth to win! I think she has showed a lot more ability than Michelle has and I'm a little surprised that Michelle even made it to the final.

A bit confused: How long ago was The Apprentice filmed? Has the winner already been decided and if so, how long ago?!

the show is pre-recorded Im not sure when they filmed it but yes the winner has already been on post

dont agree that Ruth has showed more ability she certainly has shown she is much bossier - hoping Michelle takes her chance to really shine tonight and show everyone what she is capible of

I could deal with her not knocking - after all the guy was expecting her - they don't knock going into the boardroom for the same reason ....... it was her pouting fish face and aggression that really turned me off her - I have disliked her for many many weeks

I about wet myself on the after show when the presenter introduced her as the badger ..... so funny

She was smiling last night. Advise from her mum - smile more , swear less!

Congratulations to her - I read yesterday that she is 'seeing Syed', if this is true her judgement is suspect to say the least!

Yeah, I read somewhere that something was going on between them. They managed to hide it quite well if there was!
I was glad Michelle won, I think Ruth is just too in your face. She may be a good sales woman but she would be a nightmare to work with cos she would always want her own way. I think that Alan had a soft spot for Michelle though, you could tell just by the way he was speaking that he was going to choose her and at the end of the day, it came down to who he personally liked better!
