I turned my freeview on earlier and the electronic TV guide kept coming up saying that their was no signal, and on the channels that this didn't happen on, the connection was bad. It was fine when I had it on last night. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Sometimes its a problem with the company. I have a goodmans box, and mine did that a few times one night- so i rung them, and they had a message saying that they were having problems, and bare with them. I think its just a case of trying to unplug it, and then just waiting. It should come back and work again though.
