Does anybody know if a freeview box will work with a portable tv - thinking of getting one for bedroom - only have an ordinary portable with ariel, will one work on it. Thanks

this is what it said on google:Freeview will work on a portable TV set, however see our note above about ...
Note that almost all Freeview boxes only have one tuner, so you can't record.

ive got a freeview on our room on a prtable tv. We had to buy a digital ariel as it didnt work in our area with out. ahs your portabe got a scart lead and have you checked your postcode to see if you can actually get it in your area??

if you are going to get freeview you need to check if freeview is available in your area

I've got Freeview in my room and it picks up more channels if you have an areal connected to it from outside, not just one that is just plugged into the Freeview box.

yeh i have it in my room, but we need to get a link from outside as the reception is pretty poor with the inside one.

I;m not quite sure, we have one downstairs. I want one in my room but I am just getting a portable DVD player!

I have recently just got one in my room and its works ok and it is a portable tv but some channels do not work because of the signal and we got an ariel put outside but it did not make much difference but i get most channels

We cant even get channel 5 in our area. the only type of non analog tv we can get it sky but thats expensive. What chance do we have of getting it soon?

I'm not in the area for it at home but since I've come to uni I am in the area so I've just bought one. It was very easy to set up -baring in mind i'm using a pretty old portable tv
