No! he is right, the pill is not 100% effect therefore it is possible to get pregnant on it. Diareeah (sp) been sick and antibiotic will knock the pill out too so you are never save

if you're not well or are on anti-biotics, use another form of contraception with the pill.

it is not just to stop your period, you still get that. It is an 98% effect birth control but there are somethings that will affect it so you have to be careful

Although I used to take the pill for tri-cylic therapy on advice of my doctor - keep taking the pill constantly for 3 months at a time, and then have my week break, due to medical reasons, so it can also be used in this sense, but, predominantly it is a form of contraception that is 98% effective (I fell pregnant with my eldest whilst taking the pill and not suffering from sickness or taking antibiotics, so that 2% is true) and as Siobhan said, ensure you use other forms of contraception if you are ill, taking antibiotics etc

I was on the combined pill for 14 years, without a break and always mad sure I took extra precaustion, when on anti B's or had a tummy upset,or if I missed a pill. I only fell pregnant when I stopped taking it.I had my son and never went back on the pill, and never got pregnant again ?,

I have got pregnant twice while on the pill, without being ill, or forgetting it etc, so just be careful. I would only use it if I was in a really serious and steady relationship, to be honest, as accidents can and do happen. I think the only way you can be really sfe is to use the pill and condoms too. Take it from an old bird that knows!

When you do stop taking the pill your body can be upset for months, nobody tells you that about it. No one told me I would have rather stopped before and taken other precautions instead.

I've never fully trusted the pill...i think it's a lot of trial and error to find the best one for you. Unfortunately by the time they find out it's not the right pill for you...a huge error has occured. My suggestion is NEVER HAVE SEX!!!!! lol
