Footballers’ Wives Series 5 - Episode 2

Written by Johanne McAndrew, directed by Richard Signy and produced by Cameron Roach

Amber (Laila Rouass) has settled into Milligan’s Hall as the new lady of the manor and Earls Park’s new golden couple seem to have it all. But Bruno (Ben Richards) soon suffers psychological torture at the hands of Amber. The gun that he shot Conrad with keeps re-appearing – he was sure he’d buried it. How long will it be before he realises Amber is masterminding an evil vengeance?

Darius Fry (Peter Ash) is propped up in hospital with a broken leg after his ‘accident’ down the nightclub stairs. His future in football looks bleak but both he and Roger Webb (Jesse Birdsall) are trying to remain optimistic. However, cold hearted Garry Ryan (Nicholas Ball) has other ideas – he can’t wait to dump Darius from the team.

It’s a glamorous night out for the footballers’ wives when Shannon (Sarah Barrand) and the other wives head off to a night club. What promises to be a good girls’ night out, turns into a test of patience when one rough diamond in particular, Callum Watson (Craig Gallivan), makes a show of chatting up Shannon – he’s got all her posters! Shannon’s secretly flattered but gives him the cold shoulder – she can hardly date an obsessive fan!

Meanwhile Lucy (Helen Latham) is now living it up with Shannon, relieved to have escaped the clutches of Bruno. Her life is looking up as her fashion designs are attracting interest, even supermodel Liberty (Phina Oruche) is keen to commission her.

Liberty is thrilled when her PA Urszula (Lucia Giannecchini) organises a weekend away in Paris for them both, it’s been hard getting time alone now Tremaine’s (Chucky Venice) out of prison. But these intimate girls get a shock when he turns up unexpectedly at their Paris hotel. Will Tre guess what’s going on or is he too caught up in planning his own surprise?

Shannon is shocked to discover Callum the fan is actually Sparks’ latest signing. In a bid to apologise for her frostiness at the club she agrees to go on a date. Callum is over the moon – he’s always fancied her. But when Shannon pops around to his modest home there is a nasty shock in store.
