Woo hey everyone! This is a simple one-parter about Sky and Dylan from Neighbours ... I hope you like it and please post your opinions! :D
Sky tucked her hair behind her ear as she walked towards the bathroom. The colour still hadn't changed. She looked at the watch, it had only been one minute; there was still another 2 to go.
OK, so what if I am? I'm 18, I'm old enough to deal with this - so is Dylan. He'd be a great dad wouldn't he? Hmm, maybe I mean ... he's great with little Oscar. But Oscar is older. How would Dylan cope with nappies? Nope - not Dylan - not Dylan at all. Dylan can't be a dad! He's the big brother sort. Oh what if I am pregnant? Dylan can't cope with this... can I even cope with this? I mean it's a life, a little life. I want to go to Art School and have a career, now is no time for a baby. I probably not even pregnant, just thinking too fast ... I'm just late. Obviously. But what if I'm not? What would happen? Would I move in with the Timminses or would Dyl and me get our own place? And if we did... how would we afford the bills? I mean, Dylan's going places but not fast... it'll be ages till we can have kids. I don't want them at the moment either... I'll have to do a couple of years of training at Art School until I can. Now is just not the right time at all ... oh god. It's ready. Please let it be green, please let it be green. Blue? Oh great ... I'm pregnant. Great. Fabulous. I'm gonna be a Mummy now... and have a little baby. Responsibilities and more, just plain wonderful! A little baby me or Dylan, hmm a little Dylan would be cute... actually but... I just can't believe this!
'What's that?' asked Dylan.
Sky turned round, shocked to see Dylan.
'Erm nothing... just a little girly thing.' she said, putting it in her pocket.
'It looks like a pregnancy test to me, Sky.' he replied, raising his eyebrow.
'That's cos well... it is.'
Dylan just stared at her gobsmacked.
'I ... am ... so ... happy!' he yelled, picking her up.
'What?' she said, trying to get down.
'I can't believe this! I'm gonna be a daddy!'
'Dyl put me down! Are you serious?'
'Am I serious? Of course I'm serious! And no I will not!' he said, started to bounce her up and down.
'I'm not a baby Dylan!' she said, jumping down.
'You're my baby girl and soon we'll have a baby of our own. It’s going to be baby-mania!' he said, taking his shirt off and running round the room.
'Dylan ... are you sure this is what you want?' she asked.
'Of course I'm sure! Me - you and a little mini-me - what more could I ask for?' he said, smiling.
'Nothing.' she said, kissing him on the lips.
I can’t believe myself. Always thinking too fast, everything’s going to be ok! Why wouldn’t it? I’ve got Dylan … it’s always going to be ok with Dylan.
