Thought the title would grab your attention! :rotfl:

Ive heard people say they use those things like a syringe that you can stick up a childs nose to draw there 'snot out'.Has anyone else used one?

I went to buy one in the chemist yesterday and the lady said 'yes this is it but we dont recommend them' i was like...why? she said that it can damage the lining of the babys nose if the 'snot' isnt ready to come out yet,so i said well its runy does that count as being ready and she said all i know is that we dont recommend it.Well there was a big que and people ear wigging the convo whilst waiting for there prescriptions so i couldnt really sna it and up and say YES!, il take that after she just warNed me i could damage my baby.

But surely if it was dangerous they wouldnt sell it??

I've got one Chance :D

This is going to sound great but: if its runny i can't see a problem, if its hard and crusty then, it isn't going to come out. I only use mine when its just on the edge of liams nose so a tissue won't do what you need it to. NUK make them and think there are a few others aswell, and my health visitor knows that I have one and she said it was a good idea. I got mine off an online pharmacy that i use a fair bit, but like I say, if there was a problem with it, then surely my health visitor (who seems to know a lot more than half the idiots round here) would have said to me about it when I told her I had one.

We had one for Will, and he hated it. He'd kick off everytime I went near him with it!

Its just like a syringe with a round pump up ball thing on the end which you squeeze and it withdraws all the stuff from the nose.

That looks nothing like the one the lady showed me in the shop, the one she showed me looks dead cheap compared to that one.

You squeeze the bulb bit, put the nozzle touching the nostril lightly and then let the air come back into the bulb, which creates a vacuum, sucking out the little critters :rotfl:

Had one of those even back when the dinosaurs roamed, was wonderful when the child had a very "full" head cold, disgusting but it had to give the child some relief,,

that is exactly what I had for my son way back then too,, design and every thing is the same, if they have kept on making them since then , then those SUCKERS work :D
