'Davina' loses viewers, 'Apprentice' gains

Davina has lost a quarter of its first-week audience while The Apprentice has gained.

Only 3.5 million viewers watched Davina McCall's new chat show last week, but this has now fallen to 2.7 million. This was despite a guest line-up including Pierce Brosnan and Patrick Kielty.

BBC Two's The Apprentice, meanwhile, attracted 3.6 million viewers - almost double the first series opener's total. Last year's final was watched by 3.8 million.

"We are delighted with the success of The Apprentice, which has picked up where the last series left off in terms of ratings," a BBC spokeswoman said. "As for Davina, the audience is down on the first week but we are pleased with the show. We are giving it time to grow."

I am not a fan of Davina's. I watched one of her chat shows and was not impressed. IMO she does not have the same presence as Michael Parkinson. She seems like a pleasant woman but not exciting to watch. On the other hand, I have seen The Apprentice and it is funny and engaging.

Noooo, The aprentise is rubbish, i can't bear to watch more than 30 seconds of it. Davina is like the best , but i could watch her far more than most people. Anyway this is going of topic :nono:

i think last weeks ratings were about 2.3million so surely they will not do another series!

I love the apprentice so I can see why alot of people are watching it, it really makes you think & I think its fun trying to quess who's going to get fired.
I haven't seen the Davina chat show so I can't really comment, I think they can't get a little boring, one chat shows generally the same as another, although I like friday night with Jonathon Ross thats good

First time ive seen Davina's show and i thought it was really good, she had great guests, Dawn and Jill were fab! anyone know when the show is being cut? i didnt even realise Davina was pregnant again, it was hilarious when she did the dancing and lapped danced Louis haha

Atlast someone who agree's with me! There's nothing wrong with her show, she makes it funny and can be quite witty. The guest don't seem to have a problem with coming on her show.

I watched her show for the first time last night. I actually enjoyed it. It wasn't like one of those boring chat shows, it was quite lively.
