Coronation Street star Bradley Walsh is being lined up to host his own ITV1 chat show.

The actor, who plays Danny Baldwin on the soap, is in talks to fill the network's 5pm slot following Paul O'Grady's defection to Channel 4. The show may be filmed in Manchester, allowing Bradley to continue his work on the Street.

A source told The People, "Bradley is a huge asset to Corrie but he is such a versatile entertainer he can turn his hand to any type of show.

I am not sure if I would watch this. there is just too many people doing chat shows. It is becoming as bad as reality shows. Next they will have "I want to be a chatshow host" where ordinary members of the public get to host a show and are voted out if it is ****

I doubt I would watch it either. I don't get on with midday chat shows, I hate Des and Mel. I quite often watch This Morning because Fern and Phillip are brilliant, but that's in the morning.

Hmm, I don't watch chatshows really because most are on too early, but as this is on at 5pm I might sometimes, but I don't always find him that funny anyway...

Yes I hope he will stick with Corrie too. But I suppose he will want to leave eventually. I don't see him staying as long as Johnny Briggs did.
