- Who Shot Phil
- Tiffany's death
- Anything involving the brilliant Janine Butcher/Evans
- Anything involving Cindy Beale
- Trevor/Little Mo domestic abuse storyline (including the iron incident and his death in the fire)
- Lisa's return on Phil & Kate's wedding day
Shall add more when I can remember. :)
- Bianca/Carol/Dan love triangle
- Cindy/David/Ian love triangle
- Dot/Ethel euthanasia storyline
- Joe Wicks and his schizophrenia
- Bianca's first baby dying of spina bifida
- Steve kills Saskia
- Kat/Zoe/Harry
And my all time favourite is Trevor and Little Mo, although I thought that the ending was not that great.

- Den and Michelle (who's the daddy?);
- Den and Angie (anything to do with them, included THAT episode);
- Kathy's rape/Den threatening Wilmott-Brown and burning down the Dagmar;
- Those timeless EE special episodes from the 80s like Civvy Street;
- Arthur sent to jail and his nervous breakdown after finishing his stint;
- Lou's death;
- Den and Nick together in prison;
- Pat and Frank's wedding (much as I hate Frank);
- Anything involving the brilliant Nick Cotton;
- Anything involving the brilliant Janine Butcher/Evans.
- Anything involving Cindy Beale;
- Bianca/Carol/Dan love triangle;
- Cindy/David/Ian love triangle;
- Phil's alcoholic problem;
- Arfur's death;
- Steve kills Saskia and the aftermath;
- Joe Wicks and his schizophrenia;
- Bianca/Carol/Dan love triangle;
- Dot/Ethel euthanasia storyline;
- Trevor/Little Mo domestic abuse storyline (including the iron incident and his death in the fire);
Notice how apart from Janine, the most recent great storyline for me was 2001/2. :(

Sadly, that is proberly very true for most people too, especially those who watched during the better days of EE and always end up comparing present EE to past EE. :(

I agree with all of the above but I also liked the demise of Den
I think you have hit the nail on the head Richie with your list - these storylines were by far Eastenders at its best. Also enjoyed the Grant/Sharon/Phil triangle especially a) sharongate and b) the aftermath, where the Mitchell brothers tried killing each other in the Arches - that was great (would have been better if Mr Potato Head pegged it though! :D )
Ahhh those were the days.
I also like Grant's exit the first time round and Cindy running off with the kids. Ian only saving lucy
Im with Richie on this. Those were the days when EE was UNMISSABLE TV as opposed to the dire rubbish we have now. Its now UNWATCHABLE TV.
The downfall started when the bosses started catering for an audience who were not even born when EE was created. They brought us the dreadful KALFIE, SHANNIS, Dennis Rickman, the Borrerias and most laughable of all the Return of Den Watts. Of course there were some memorable episodes too such as The Cardboard Fairground, Kidneygate, Walford Basketball Team, the death of Barry Evens, the trip to Scotland, the trip to France, the first Lesbian kiss that never was. Memorable stuff all right but for all the wrong reasons

I agree with those but i also liked the Shannis love story and anything involving Jamie/Jamie and Sonia :wub:
i liked Cindy hiring a hitman for Ian - Just a pity it didnt work.
Steve/Matthew/Saskia
Ethels Death
Den dying for 2nd time
What I love most about eastender is that they can pull of a classic episode with just two character in it. Dot and Ethel dying, Sharon and Michelle when she found out vicky was her sister. I am sure there is more
yes i know what you mean. When they do two / three handers they really work. I remember corrie did one with Curly a while back which was poorly done.
Sharongate has to be an all time favourite.
