Breast Reduction

Just wondering if anyone on the boards has had this done? or knows anyone who has?

My doctor is referring me to the hospital to see a specialist aboutit, andam very nervous! It could take a while so i have a while to think about it!

my neighbour had a breast reduction done a few months ago, she feels a lot happier and more confident now

I had one done when I was 19 and I've never regretted it.

Private or NHS? What the scarring like? Also, how long does it taketo recover? SOrry for all the questions nerves i guess!

I went down from a H cup to a B (though i thought i was a double d). I have got a bit of scarring but with all the other scars i've got from other ops it doesn't bother me. I went private for my op as i would have had to wait quite a long time on the nhs. I can't really remember how long it took to recover (it was about 11 years ago) but I had it done during the long hols at uni and i didn't have to have any time off.

Thanks Ellie! im currently a 32 H, having lost about 2 stone in weight my boobs havnt shrunk. I want to go downto a C/D, am very nervous but just hope they refer me as i cant afford private.

Dont mind the scars as long as there is not to many!
