View Full Version : CID Teambuilding Trip.
A roleplay story gave me the idea. Some CID members may not be around at the moment but they are in this this. CID teambuilding trip, people getting off together, cosy fire with people sat around it. Somehow this time it'll be different to all the others ...

DCI Meadows and DI Manson walked into the breifing room that CID were waiting expectently in. There was a rumour that they were going on another teambuilding course. The DI's face, which looked miserable, confirmed there worse nightmares. "Ok everyone. You've all heard already but I'll tell you anyway. We're going on another teambuilding week." Everyone groaned. Zain Nadir looked at them all, "c'mon guys. They can't be that bad can they?" He'd never been on one before so at first he was excited.
"Are you kidding. We stay in crappy, cold tents. They leak if it rains. Which it does every year. We have to cook our own meals and we usually get into arguments. Last year the arguments got so bad that DS Nixon pushed DI Manson into the lake." Everyone turned to Sam who looked down at her feet.
"Highlight of the week." Phil said staring into space. People sniggered as Neil Manson scowled at Sam. "I also got yelled at." Sam said quietly still avoiding the DI's gaze. "Anyway, we'll be leaving here at 7:30am out the front." The DCI told everyone. They all groaned again. "7:30 my ass! I'll be knackered!" Phil exclaimed.
"What about the teams?" Susie asked.
"Well, lets keep it even. So we'll have Sam, Phil, Zain, Jo and Ramini, Terry, Mickey, Susie. Neil and I will be the judges, judging you on your team skills. Sam and Phil will be two captains while Ramini and Mickey will be the others. Now all pick names out of the hat. It'll be who your sharing a tent with." Susie and Mickey. Terry and Zain. Ramini and Jo. That meant there were only two people left. Sam and Phil. Phil grinned but Sam looked blank. She wasn't exactly happy about this arrangement. Neil put in: "We'll explain a little more when we get there."
"There, more like nowhere." Sam muttered making the people around her snigger.
They all walked out of the breifing room. "We'll thrash ya." Mickey said quietly.
"Gotta be joking. We've got Sam." Jo muttered.
The next morning CID were all standing outside the station waiting for Susie. She arrived a few minutes late. "Sorry, couldn't find my house keys." They got on to a minibus that Jack Meadows' friend had leant him. Jack drove with Neil sat next to him. Neil and Jack had to share a tent together, so it wasn't only Sam that wasn't to jappy about the sleeping arrangement. In the back, Jo sat next to Sam. Ramini sat with terry. Phil sat with Zain so Mickey and Susie took the two on seater seats. The journey was fun, they all laughed and joked. The DCI had put the radio on so they were able to sing to there favourite songs. Leanne Rhymes, 'Can't Fight The Moonlight' came on.

They stopped of at the service stations. Sam went to the cafe and got a coffee. She really needed one as she pretty much depended on coffee everyday at work. Phil walked up to her as she was putting milk in her cup. "So, we're gonna be sharing." Phil smiled. Sam didn't smile.
"Yeah s'pose so."
"You don't have to look so put out." He said a little hurt.
"Sorry Phil. I didn't mean to."
"That's ok, I can't stay mad at you can I?" Sam shrugged. Phil chucked her under the chin making her smile. They got back on to the minibus and the journey carried on.
They arrived at a field. The only civilisation was a villiage a couple of miles away. They were in the rural part of britain. "Ok, first task." Jack Meadows informed them all. "You've got to put up your tents." They all got to work straight away. Sam and Phil worked together and worked it out easily. They then sat on the grass watching everyone else trying to put there tents up. Meadows and Manson were having difficulty because they were mainly arguing. After a while all the tents were up and ready. Sam and Phil took there things and put them into there tents. Sam went on the right side and Phil took up the left. By the time everyone was settled in it was time for lunch. "OK," Neil told them all. "You all got your tents up so well done. We've got food for you to cook." Neil handed them a portable stove and some food. The teams had to come up with team names so Mickey, Ramini, Terry and Susie were called Team Exclusive while Samantha, Phil, Jo and Zain somehow decided on Team Rebelious. "Well once your done cooking and eating we'll start the next task."

OK, that's it for the mo, please review. Sorry if I've knicked ideas from someones rolelay. Just I liked it so much that I wanted to do my own. The origional makes me laugh so much that I keep re reading it.

Couldn't help it I cracked up about the pranks Sam and Phil played and also there commupence!! I was grinning like a cheshere cat and trying not to laugh out loud otherwise my parents would have thought I'd gone crazy!!
I don't think it's finished yet on ours, I can't remember. We got distracted with our new one and forgot all about it.

After they had eaten there lunch, baguettes, CID followed Jack and Neil into the woods a little. Jack stopped them all. "OK, we have an obstacle course with different levels in it. Low, average and high. What will happen is each team will have a go, the team that finishes in the fastest amount of time wins. Oh, also I've got baseball caps for everyone." He handed out black caps to everyone. "Put them on later. Not for this though as you'll all have helmets on." The all went over to the start and started inspecting it. Sam, Phil, Jo and Zain looked at eachother and started discussing who would go in what order. "On the rope swing make sure you put it back to its origional state, if you don't purposefully then we'll deduct points. Team Exclusive went first. They finished in an alright amount of time. Team Rebelious stood up. They had been discussing there name. "Actually guv." Phil stepped forward, him being the only one brave enough to say anything. "We wanna change our team name." Jack looked at them all. "Alright what to.
"Well we want Team S P M I T L L Y." Phil smirked a little as the team smiled. Everyone else looked confused. "What the hell does that stand for." Mickey asked. Zain turned to him. "We'll tell you later." Sam was looking at the ground not wanting to meet anyones gaze. She hoped no one noticed, she was still smiling though. They all stopped asking questions knowing that they would get told later. So Team S P M I T L L Y all got up and ready. They went in the order of Jo, Zain, Sam then Phil.
Sam went as soon as Zain returned, she army crawled underneath a net, climbed up a wall, ran across a bridge to the other side and climbed back down, had to do monkey bars, swang on a rope swinging trying not to slip and fall into the muddy water beneath her. She then climbed up a ladder, she took a deep breath. There was two ropes, one to hold on to and the other to walk across. She was at least forty to fifty feet in the air. She went across not looking down, she had to go slower so that she didn't slip. At one point she slipped but she didn't fall off. She carried on acroos then went down the really long zip wire. She unhooked herself off of it then returned to the rest of the team and Phil had his turn. "Ok, by a few minutes Team Rebel- sorry Team S P M I T L L Y won." They all cheered happily. They walked back to camp. "You were great." Phil commented Sam. She smiled. It had taken up the rest of the afternoon.
They all returned to camp and made a huge fire. They all sat around it talking. They told stories to eachother mainly humorous ones to do with what had happened to them. "OK Team S P M I T L L Y. What does all the letters mean?" Mickey asked. Sam looked around to make sure Manson and Meadows weren't around. "It was Phil's idea, everyone else said yeah and they wouldn't let me say no to it. If Manson finds out then he'd gonna flip and blame it on me." Sam said nervously. "Don't worry, if he does find out, which he won't, but if he does then we'll say that I made it up." Phil said trying to calm Sam.
"Yeah, but what does it mean?" Susie asked impatientlly.
"Well," Phil smiled at his group. "It stands for Sam pushed Manson into the lake last year!" The two groups laughed.
"I thought everyone was banned from talking about that." Terry sniggered.
"Yaeh, that's why we change it into a codeish thing." Jo said happily. "Plus, it's an abbriviation of the origional. Just a long abbriviation." Everyone laughed again. "I got an idea." Ramini said happily. "How about we write a singers name on to a peice of paper and then everyone's gotta pick a name out of a bowl or something. Who''s name we pick out we've gotta sing one of there songs." Everyone thought it was a great idea. "Just don't expect anything special." Zain said. They all wrote both male and female singers down and put them into Terry's black cap. They were all wearing there's now. Sam had her hair in a bun so it poked out the gap at the back. Phil thought it looked a little sweet.
Nearly everyone had had a go now. (Is suppose to say had had) Phil got up and took one out of the hat. Luckily it was a man, Terry had to sing Madonna so he sang 'Like A Virgin', making everyone crack up.

He finished and everyone clapped. He felt a little embarrassed but also happy. He directed every word to Sam without anyone realising it. She wasn’t seeing anyone but he’d still give anything to be the man that would someday be there for her. God, look et me. I’ve become so romantic and lovey dovey now. What happened to the old Phil Hunter. I guess I’ve changed. I’d change a thousand times for Sam. I try to hide it but I can’t. I love her so much. I’m mainly scared of her rejecting me or even me hurting her. I don’t wanna hurt her but what if I do. Ah well, doesn’t matter. He turned his attention back to everyone else. Jo stood up and sang a song by KT Tunsall called 'Other side of the world.' It was good. Sam stood up next. She took the last peice of paper. She hoped that she didn't get a bloke's song. She didn't. Instead she got Natasha Beddingfield. "I'm going to sing Wild Horses then."

She finished and blushed as everyone looked at her clearly impressed. No one realised that she could sing, let alone that well. Everyone went back to the tents after. "You never told me that you could sing." Phil said as they walked back. "It's really not a big deal." She said blushing again. Phil decided to drop it. "You can go in and change. I'll wait out here then we'll swop." Phil said to her. "Thanks." Sam walked back into the tent to change. Phil was being a real gentleman. Maybe he had changed from the Phil in the past.

Like that chapter, we didn't think of an obstacle course :D
Just cause of when I went camping we went on a obstacle course trick was that we had to carry a bell around without it dinging and we weren't allowed to hold the thing in the middle.

When both Phil and Sam had both got changed they got into the tent and into they're sleeping bags. Sam woke up during the night and couldn't get back to sleep. She sat thinking for a bit until Phil woke up. Sam sat still, maybe he wouldn't notice her. He got out of his sleeping bag and took something out of his backpack. "What are you doing?" She asked quietly and suspiciously. "God Sam, you made me jump. Wanna go wake up Manson and Meadows?" Phil held out some firecrackers. "Aren't they illegal?" Sam asked. Phil shrugged. "I dunno, well d'you wanna?" Sam smiled. "Alright." They both got jumpers on and trainers then crept out of there tent. They sneaked up to the tents that the two guv'nors were sleeping in. All was silent, except for Terry's snoring. Phil took out of his pocket the firecrackers and a lighter. Phil put them near the tent then lit the small peice of string. Sam and Phil ran off and hid around there tent. All of a sudden a load of bangs went off and Manson and Meadows ran out of the tent, shouting. Sam and Phil were laughing as all the other people came out of there tents. Sleepily wondering what was going on. Sam and Phil came back to where everyone else was. Zain walked up to them. He had known about Phil's prank and guessed that Sam had helped him. "Good Sargeants you two are." He muttered smirking.The DCI looked at all the CID officers annoyed. Manson picked up the remainders of the firecrackers. "Looks like someone played a practical joke on us. I've got a pretty good idea who too." He said to the DCI before turning around. Sam scowled at the back of his head. Manson carried on.
"Two detective Sargeants. One male, one female. One brown one blonde." Everyone looked at Sam and Phil. Phil looked smud until he saw the petrified look on Sam's face. He turned to the DCI. "Actually, it was just me." Sam looked at the ground. She felt guilty, she was about to confess when Phil cut over her. "Sam didn't have anything to do with it. Well, I'm guessing by the DI's accusiations that he's blaming Sam. She didn't do anything." Sam couldn't take it. "Don't Phil. I'm not worth it, I helped him." Phil looked at her, she looked at the DCI. Zain stepped forward. "I knew about it, you gonna punish them the punish me too." Zain had told Jo. Jo stepped forward. "I knew about it too." Ramini and Terry stepped forward. "So did we." Mickey and Susie were the only ones left. "We didn't nkow about it but," Susie started. "If your gonna punish them then you've gotta punish us too." Mickey finished. Manson glared at them all. The DCI sighed. "Don't do it again." The DI turned around and muttered 'typical.' The DCI watched him then turned back to the rest of CID. "Oh my god, you should have seen his face. Here you go Phil." He handed him a ten pound note. Sam looked disbelieving. "Did you get the pictures though." The DCI handed him a digital camera. There were pictures of the DI with a panicking look on his face. CID crowded around to see it and cracked up laughing at all the expressions and faces. "Right now all of you get to bed." They all went off to the tents. Sam and Phil talked for an hour about it before finally falling asleep.

This is really good, enjoying it loads.
Everyone woke up the next morning at eight o' clock. The DI was wearing a stony expression. After they'd cooked and eaten breakfast the DCI spoke to them all. "This morning we are going to be rock climbing and then abseiling down a climbing wall. Your group will support you from the ground. Everyone should try at least once." They all made there way to a sixty foot climbing wall. The wall was split in half so that the two groups could have half each. Team S P M I T L L Y all got up and down the wall. Jo stopped half way up because she was scared but she kept going and everyone was proud of her. "Well done Jo." "Good on ya." Was all she could hear as her two feet landed on flat land again. Team Exclusive did well too except Terry had to come back down when he got three quarters of the way up. They went back to camp and for the rest of the morning sat talking on the grass. Sam and Phil cooked lunch for there team while Ramini and Mickey cooked dinner for there team. Sam cut vegetables while Phil put them in the pots. When lunch had been eaten and the washing had been done the two guv's gave them a couple of maps. "Right, orienteering."
Sam groaned. "Great."
"You've got two seperate paths to take. Go on then, it's a race against eachother." The two teams went off in different directions into the woods. "Well, around here should be quiet for at most two hours." Manson said before getting a book and sitting on the ground.
"It's bloody cold. We should have finished by now." Susie complained. They'd been going around for a couple of hours and were by now completely lost. Her, Mickey, Terry and Ramini didn't have a clue where to go. "Here." Mickey handed her a jumper. "This should keep you warm." Susie took it and hugged him. "Thanks."
"Anyone else get the feeling that we're lost?" Sam asked sarcastically. She carried on walking. Phil, Jo and Zain heard a scream and ran to see what had happened. "Hey, what happened Sarge?" Jo asked.
"Tripped over a tree root." Sam said through gritted teeth. Her ankle was sore and she was trying to fight back tears. She tried to stand up but couldn't put weight on her ankle. "Come here." Phil said. He gave Sam a piggy back. She laughed a little, "arent I too heavy?"
Phil looked over his shoulder up at her. "Are you joking. You're way light." Jo took a camera out and took a picture of Sam and Phil.
Mickey and Ramini's team arrived at the camp as it was turning dark. "Where's the other team?" Susie asked collapsing on to the grass.
"They haven't arrived yet. How long does it take you. It was only suppose to be at most a two hour path. Both of them.
"I think I should try putting weight on my ankle." Sam said so Phil put her on to the ground. There team got the torches out. It was getting rapidly dark and they were finding it hard to see past there hands. "God, we're lost aren't we?" Jo said a little annoyed. Sam and Phil exchanged a look. They were lost, they wouldn't be able to find there way back. They'd been banned from bringing there mobile phones so they couldn't even call the camp or local police or anything. They carried on walking. "Hey look, it's a road." Sam said to everyone else. "So." Zain said confused.
"If we stay here then a person driving will probably have to go past at some point." She explained.
"That's a good idea. If we use one torch at a time then the lights will last longer." Phil suggested. They used Zain's torch first.
"Look everyone Sam, Phil, Zain and Jo still haven't arrived. Neil and I will go and look for them while the rest of you wait here in case they turn up." Neil and Jack got into the mini bus and drove along searching for the missing people. They searched for them for a couple of hours. "Hey look, is that some people." Neil spotted four people at the roadside.
"A vehicles coming, I think it's the DCI and DI." Jo exclaimed. Sam, Phil and Zain stood up and flagged them down. "Never thought I'd be this happy to see you two." Phil said relieved.
"Get in, we'll drive you back." Everyone got in and the DCI drove them back to camp. Ramini, Terry, Susie and Mickey cheered when they got out. "Where's the first aid?" Phil asked. Ramini handed it to him and he bandaged Sam up. After eating they sat around a camp fire like the night before. Sam put her leg up on one bench and leant against Phil. Phil didn't mind, he liked feeling close to her. She looked cute with her hair in two pigtails and the black hat over them. The two groups talked for hours. Phil looked down to find Sam asleep against him. He smiled to himself, she looked sweet sleeping. He didn't want to wake her but he had to when the DCI said: "Everyone go to bed and rest up for tomorrow."
"Sam, Sam" He gently shook her. "C'mon, we've all got to go to our tents."
"Hmm, sorry. I didn't mean to sleep on you." She laughed slightly.
"Don't worry. C'mon before the DI or DCI yells at us." They walked to there tent and both fell asleep instantly when they had changed and got into there sleeping bags.

They awoke the next morning to the sound of Mickey shouting. Sam and Pihl got out of there tents to see what was going on. "What happened?" Phil asked Ramini. "Well Mickey's getting attacked by a racoon." She explained laughing. "What!?" Sam laughed.
"A racoon got into Mickey and Susie's tent. He actually crawled over Mickey's face and got his rucksack. The racoon has taken things out of it and ran off with Mickey's boxers! So Mickey went to get them back and the racoon turned ugly and wouldn't give them back." Ramini finished her explanation. Phil and Sam moved closer to see Mickey now had his underwear in his hand but the racoon kept jumping up for it. "Mickey, just give them to him, he'll leave you alone then. Just wash in the lake a pair that you've worn." Mickey reluctantly gave the racoon the boxer shorts and the racoon ran off with them. Everyone went back into there tents to change. They then went out on to the grass to eat breakfast. "Alrighty then. We've got archery first." Jack said loudly so he could be heard. They walked over to where the targets had been set up. The two teams tried but Phil and Susie were the best at it. Sam complained that her arms were too short so Phil helped her. "C'mon just pull it back to as far as it can go." She pulled it back. "It can go further than that." He pushed.
"Yeah, it can but I can't!" Phil laughed when she said that. She pulled it back and let it go, she got it in the middle ring. "Well done." Phil praised. Sam threw her arms around him and kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you!" He smiled to himself as she walked away.
They went back to camp after a few goes. When lunch was cooked they all sat together eating and talking. "You've all got to get into your swimming stuff. We're going canoeing then we're going to play water polo in the lake." Everyone went to get changed. Phil got changed into blue swimming shorts and Sam got into a black bikini. They grabbed there towels and followed everyone else to the lake. "You've got to go with the same person that you're sleeping in the tents with." Sam and Phil grabbed one that wasn't mettle on the inside so it wouldn't burn when the sun heated it up. They had a green one with white on the inside. Phil got in first then helped Sam in. "You can go at the front." Phil told her. She sat at the front and they both set off. They didn't have a challenge it was just canoeing without capsizing or falling in. They were doing well. "Hey wanna push someone in?" Phil whispered. Sam smiled. "Yeah, who though?" Phil looked around. "Lets push Terry and Zain in." Phil laughed a little and Sam giggled as they went up to Terry and Zain. They went to the side of them and while Terry and Zain were looking the other way, Sam and Phil held on to the rim of the boat pushed it upwards. Terry and Zain fell into the water while Sam and Phil cracked up laughing. They then had to row quickly so Terry and Zain couldn't get payback. When Sam and Phil got to the edge of the lake Phil stood up but the boat hit the side, he lost his balance and fell into the water. Sam laughed until Phil capsized the boat making her also fall in. They helped eachother get out of the water.
Everyone had a five minute break then all had to get back into the crystal water. It was a hot day so no one minded being in the cool water. They all swam over to the net in the water. Phil, Sam, Jo and Zain on one side then Ramini, Mickey, Terry and Susie on the other side. Jack gave Ramini's team the ball first and everyone played water polo after the instructions had been told. When the game ended Terry and Zain got there own back by dunking Sam and Phil in. Phil and Sam were the last people in the water. Everyone else had gone bakc to have a shower. Sam was about to swim over and get out but Phil held her back. "Wait, why don't you stay in with me." Phil and Sam stayed in for a bit longer swimming and talking. "C'mon we'd better get out before everyone wonders where we are." They got out and made there way over to the showers. Everyone was still having showers, so they slipped in unnoticed. The showers were unisex so everyone had to keep there swim stuff on.
They all went back to camp when everyone was showered and began cooking dinner. They made another fire and sat around it talking happily. Jo suggested they played sardines. "What's that?" Terry asked.
"Well one person goes and hides. Everyone else goes and finds them. When a person finds them they've got to cram into the space that the person has hid in. You've got to see how many people you can get into the space." Everyone was enthustiastic and happy with it. Mickey hid first and then everyone took turns. They went back to the campfire. "We need another game." Zain said.
"How about man hunt?" Sam asked.
"Alright but just tell the rules and see who wants to play it." Susie said.
"Well, you've got two teams, one goes and hides while the other counts. They can split up if they want or all stay together. Anyway, the counting ones have to find and bring back all members of the other team. The team hiding will be on the move though. They don't have to stay in one place, they're basically on the run." She waited while they said that they did want to play. "Ok the, two teams. Shall we go with the teams we've been with during the activities, female and male or mixed or what?" They decided on the groups they'd had for the activities because it would save time. Phil was happy with this arrangement as it meant he was with Sam. Sam and Phil's team hid first. They ran into the woods but not too far as they didn't want to get lost again. They then went out on to the fields. Jo suggested that they split up so her and Zain went in one direction while Sam and Phil went in the other. Sam and Phil found a small cave type rock and hid in there. It was cold so Phil put his arms around Sam and they cuddled close together.
"I'm sorry." He said all of a sudden. Sam was confused as it was random.
"What for?" She asked.
"Everything. Kate, Cindy, Alfie. I'm sorry that I've hurt you so much."
"Don't worry about it." She said sitting up. "It's nothing."
"No it is, I've hurt you so badly. You should hate me."
"Well I don't. I don't hate you at all. In fact I, I love you." She whispered the last bit scared that he'll laugh at her or worse reject her. He didn't though, instead he smiled at her. "Good, because I think I love you too." She looked at him and smiled as well. They leant in to kiss eachother when the other team showed up. "Found ya!" Terry called. Sam and Phil got up and walked out. "Sorry were we interupting." Terry teased.
"No," they both said quickly.
They all walked back to camp where Jo and Zain were stood waiting. "God, we thought you two had got lost!" Jo called.
"Nah, we were just hiding from this lot." Phil indicated to the other group making Jo and Zain laugh. "Bed you lot." They all went into there tents and changed to go to sleep. Sam and Phil got into there sleepingbags. Phil moved a little and gently took her hand, Sam was just drifting off and squeezed his hand to let him know that she didn't mind. "Goodnight," Phil whispered but Sam was already asleep. Phil was still holding Sam's hand when he fell asleep.

Phil and Sam emerged from there tent the following morning to find Susie kissing Mickey on the lips. "What the hell?" Sam asked walking over to Jo. "Oh they've just become a couple. Somehow a ketchup bottle brought them together." Sam and Phil wore confused expressions. Jo pointed to over to near where Susie and Mickey were kissing. On a couple of plates in ketchup sauce was :"I LOVE YOU SUSIE!"
"Aww, that's so sweet." Sam said smiling at Mickey's sweetness. Phil took this in account. Hmm, she likes sweet people. Well I can be sweet, if I wanna. He thought. It was true that he could be pretty sweet, usually he saved it for a girl that he thinks deserves it. Well he thought Sam definitaly deserved it. After breakfast they all sat around talking. Zain walked over to them all. "Just asked and it turns out that we've got tunneling first." Phil looked at Sam her face was a look of terror. She was scared of tunelling because she was claustrophobic. If she was able to stretch and stand straight then she'd be fine but crammed spaces like that, she hated it. As they walked to the tunnel enterance Phil put his arm around her waist and whispered to her. He was saying stuff of encouragement, trying to make her feel better. Jack walked over casually, he knew about her fear too. "Sam, if you don't want to do it then don't." She shook her head.
"No, I've got to do it." She said trying to say it steady but it still had a hint of fear. They came to the enterance and team S P M I T L L Y went first. Zain went then Jo thenPhil. Sam was last. Everyone could tell that she was petrefied. "Sam honestly you don't have to go if you don't want to." Phil shouted through the tunnel. Sam went anyway, when she got to the other side she threw her arms around Phil.
Team exclusive went after. They all got through Ramini stopped halfway through. "C'mon Ramini, it's alright. Just carry on going. Don't think about the space." Terry called. He carried on talking to her while she crawled out. Just the sound of his voice made her go. She got out and Terry patted her on the back. "Well done." She smiled happy that she'd made it through and that Terry had helped her. They all went back to camp to half lunch and laze about.
"So, what's going on between you and Terry then?" Sam asked Ramini.
"Nothing," she said looking away.
"C'mon Ramini, I'm not stupid." Sam said.
"Not to mention the fact that she can annalyse your body language when your with him." Jo put in. The three women laughed.
"I really like him. We've always been good friends though." She explained.
"But you want to be more" Sam said knowingly.
"Yeah," Ramini admitted. "I sometimes wish he'd notice me as more than a friend. Anyway, what going on with?"
"Me, I dunno. What going on with me?" Sam asked puzzled.
"Sam, Ramini and I have both noticed you and Phil. When they found you during man hunt nobody else noticed but Ramini said it looked like you two were about to kiss."
Sam bluushed. "Ok, we were. Last night we got so close but then everyone else turned up. "Well oyu two have got a tent together. Anywhing else happen?" Sam shook her head.
"Only that Phil held my hand while we slept." She laughed. "That sounds stupid doesn't it."
"No. It sounds quite sweet actually." Jo said. "Aww. Phil Hunter's turned soppy and sweet." Phil who had been eavesdropping from around a tent jumped out. "I have not!" He said. The women laughed. "Oh well if your conversations so funny maybe I should share it with everyone. Say telling Terry what some certain DS really thinks about him."
"Oh yes, because I love him so much." Sam said. Afterall Sam and Ramini were both DS'. Phil scowled playfully. At that moment the DCI called everyone over to him. "Ok, you have to entertain yourself for the rest of the day, work in your teams and see what your can come up with. Tonight were going on a night walk so make sure your torches have enough battery." The two teams sat on the ground trying to think of things to do. " I know." Sam had a brainwave. Her team huddled round. The other team kept trying to listen in but never found what they were doing. Team S P M I T L L Y were happy about it. They went around gathering materials. They then went into the woods and didnt; come out for a while. "They went into the woods, and were never seen again." Mickey laughed.
The DCI and DI went around to see what everyone had done. Team Exclusive had been throwing stones into the lake. They couldn't think of anthing else to do. Team S P M I T L L Y came back out of the woods, this time without any materials. "What have you done then?" Neil asked.
"Follow us and we'll show you." They followed Sam and Phil's team into the woods a little way. They were along the edge and could see the water. "Here we are." They stopped beside the water. There was a tree that dipped slightly into the water. They had made with the materials a rope swing, tyre swing, a couple ladders, a ledge to jump into the water off of and a a small type of slide. Somehow they had actually managed to make a small waterpark. "You can also climb the trees." Jo said. They all decided to spend the rest of the warm evening on here until they had to go on the walk. Sam and Phil started to climb the trees. They got to a high point and just sat talking. They sat and looked out on to the lake. Zain had managed to swim out to the middle of the lake and sit on the bouy in the middle. They all laughed because he was shouting that he couldn't get back and was just stuck. The rest of Zain's team (Sam, Phil and Jo) decided to go on a rescue mission. They took the tyre off of the tyre swing and using it to keep afloat swam out to Zain. They sat on a quarter of it and started kicking there feet and used it like a boat to get back. The other team cheered when they got back onto dry land. The DCI said that becuse Team S P M I T L L Y was a little too long and confusing he awarded them with the name Team Baywatch because they rescued Zain. Zain scowled playfully.
The they went on the walk. Everyone using there torches. Phil watched Sam walking and chatting with Jo, Susie and Ramini. He walked over and took her hand. "Can I talk to you, privately?" He asked.
Jo, Susie and Ramini walked off smiling at Sam. "Um, did we actually mean to almost kiss tonight?" He asked. Sam thought he was rejecting her. "Look Phil. If you don't want it to be then fine, but truth is at least I did mean to actually kiss you. I sort of wish that the other team didn't interupt but it's ok if you think it was a mistake." She went to walk off but Phil held her back. "No, I did want to kiss you too. I just didn't know if you did too." Sam smiled. "But you would have known because you were listening to my conversation earlier on." Phil shook his head with a cheeky grin on his face. "I only heard bits. I heard Ramini say about Terry then Mickey came and started talking to me so I missed what you were saying then I heard Jo say about me going soppy." Sam smiled. Phil leant down to kiss Sam and Sam moved upwards. They met in a sweet kiss then pulled back to go and catch up with the others.
The walk didn't go on for too long, so Sam and Phil weren't kept from eachother for ages. They went back to there tent together quietly slipping away from everyone else. Same as Susie and Mickey who left about half an hour after Sam and Phil.
Awww that's very sweet. I remember writing our roleplay, was definetly one of the best

Sam and Phil emerged from there tent smiling happily. Susie and Mickey came out of there tent also smiling happily. It was lucky that Sam and Phiol were sharing and that Susie and Mickey were sharing. While eating breakfast Jo, Susie and Sam were all encouraging Ramini to do something with Terry. Finally tell him how she feels. Sam decided to do somethign herself.
"Terry, Can I talk to you a minute?" Ramini's face was a mask of horror. Sam and Terry went off into the woods. "Look tell me truthfully, do you love Ramini?" Terry considered it for a moment. "Yeah, y'know I think I do."
"Well get your **** in gear and say something. Try and be romantic. If you have to say it infront of everyone so you can prove that your not ashamed of her or telling everyone how you feel about her." Terry was thinking for a few moments then, "your right. I'm gonna tell her, now." He walked back to camp and Sam followed him. Slightly jogging to keep up. He walked up to Ramini in front of everyone else. "Ramini, I love you and always have done. If you wanna then I want to have a relationship with you." Ramini smiled then she kissed Terry on the lips for the first ever time. When she broke apart from him she walked over to Sam. "I dunno what you said but it worked." Jack Meadows walked over to them all. "Ok, first we've got quadbiking."
"Cool." Sam said enthusiastically. Phil looked at her smiling. "Wait, we don't have to wear puffy suits do we?" Jack nodded and Sam's face dropped. "Hey look on the bright side, at least you'll be warm." Phil said trying to shine a light on wearing these rubbish suits. "I guess so." Sam muttered putting one on over her clothes with everyone else.
The two teams walked to where a race track had been set up. There was ramps, hills, sharps turns, bends and a few long strips of road. They all got on to the eight quadbikes while Jack and Neil watched from the sides. They started and went through the course. They weren't racing, just having a laugh and trying the course out. Sam and Phil were good at it, Terry fell off of the bike a few times. Sam and Phil came to a ramp and Sam didn't realise that it was an actual ramp. She went flying over it and the bike crashed on to the floor making her flip over the handle bars. Phil skidded to a hault, took off his helmet and ran over to her. "Sam, Sam are you ok?" He crouched down and helped her to sit up. "Yeah, ow, yeah I'm ok. Just winded and a few bruises." She gasped for air. "D'you wanna go and sit at the side?" Phil asked.
"Nah, I'll be ok. C'mon let's get back on. I'm alright now, honestly. I'll just be more careful next time." Sam and Phil got back on to there two bikes and started up again. They got to the end follwowed by Zain, Mickey, Susie, Jo Ramini then Terry. Zain jumped off of his bike. "Are you alright? I saw you fall off your bike." He asked Sam.
"I'm fine, just didnt realise that there was a ramp there that's all. Anyway, Phil was there to help me back up." She went over and kissed Phil on the cheek. He smiled happily. Jack and Neil walked over. "C'mon lunch. Oh and make sure that you've got swim stuff to wear as were going to go the nearest town. It has a swimming pool with water flumes and waves and stuff." So they all walked back to the camp cooked and ate lunch then got changed into there swim stuff. Phil had a different pair of swimming shorts on while Sam wore a white tankini. Jack drove them all in the minibus and they got out at 'Splash and Aqua.'
"C'mon you lot let's go." Everyone got out and went up to the enterance. They all paid for themselves but noone really minded. It was better than swimming in the lake. They all ran and jumped into the pool, when they emerged they were all laughing. Sam and Jo went on to some flumes while the rest of them either raced, sat by the pool or casually swam around. When Jo and Sam came back Phil put his arms awound Sam. "I missed you babe." He said. Sam laughed. "I was only gone a bit so I could go on the slides." Phil didn't care though, he still had missed her.
"C'mon let's swim together." They stepped into the water and swam around together. Neil asked Phil for a race so they decided to race against eachother. Sam sat on the edge of the pool next to Zain cheering Phil on. Neil beat Phil by a few seconds. Phil sat next to Sam sulking. Sam leant towards him. "Don't worry." She whispered. "Your a better man than him." Phil cheered up at this.
"Sam, you gonna dive now then?" Jo asked.
"Nu-uh! You've gotta be joking." She protested.
"You brought it up." Jo tried to blame her.
"Yeh, buy I didn't say that I'd do it." Sam said.
"Oh go on Sam. I've never seen someone do a dive, live." Jo leaded.
"Yeah, go on babe." Phil muttered giving her his puppy dog face.
"Fine." She said through gritted teeth. She climbed up to the diving board and went to the edge. After jumping on the board twince she then dived. Half way in the air she somersaulted then went splashing into the water. Phil cheered and Jo whistled. Zain was clearly impressed. After a couple of hours swimming they all went back to the changing room. When everyone was changed they climbed back into the minibus and went back to camp.
That night in Sam and Phil's tent. Sam was just drifting off to sleep when she heard Phil whisper. "I love you Sam and I always have done." She smiled a little before drifting off to sleep.

seems like if Phil loves Sam sooo much and she loves him wouldnt temptation of sleeping next to the person you loved in a tent be almost too much to resist????!!
That was the whole point of them leaving camp early together! I didn't want to go into too much detail incase people I got complaints or people didn't like to know that far into there love lives. If you do then that's fine but if not then I think it would be better to not write it incase of not respecting peoples reading pleasure or offending people in some way or other.
Sam woke up the next morning to find Phil's hand had 'magically' found it's way to the inside of her thigh. She smiled a little. 'Typical Phil.' She thought, before shaking Phil until he woke up. "Huh, what? Let me sleep." Phil complained. "No c'mon we've got to get up and see what's going on." Phil sat up. "I'll get up on one condition." He said smiling cheekily.
"Ok, but first I've got a condition." Sam said. Phil looked confused. "What?" He asked. "Move your right hand." Phil looked down to where his right hand was. "Oh sorry." He smiled, "my condition is a kiss." Sam smiled at him. "should have known." She muttered before he leaned over her and kissed her sweetly. They got up and got ready then walked out of there tent for breakfast. "Ok, in the afternoon we've got 'leap of faith' but until then we're getting wet again." Jo told Sam and Phil. "What d'you mean." They asked together. Zain ran out from behind a tent with a bucket of freezing cold water. He chucked it over them. "Waterfight!" He shouted. Sam and Phil stood there shivering while everyone was laughing before grabbing a couple of water guns and shooting Zain and Jo. It was cold water but noone cared as they were having too much fun. They ran around the camp getting everyone. Sam turned, the whole time she'd been getting people with Phil but this was a much a too good oppurtunity to miss. She turned and shot Phil. He laughed and turned as Sam started to run off. He shot at her and got her on the back of her neck.
They played for an hour and half before Sam had an idea and stopped everyone. "Look, why don't we get Jack and Neil." She whispered to everyone. They all laughed, loving the idea. So they all stayed quiet hiding behind tents until Jack and Neil walked out of there tent. "Where is everyone?" Jack asked looking around.
"Dunno." Neil replied. At that point Sam shouted "NOW!" and everyone jumped out and soaked Niel and Jack. Most people had water guns but Sam, Phil and Ramini, who were the closest, had huge buckets of icy cold water. Jack and Neil both lightened up and got a couple of buckets before throwing water over everyone. After this they all went back to the tents to change again, then went back out for lunch. They sat on a mat because the ground was went and soggy. Sam sat on Phil's lap and they talked about the next task. Sam wasn't very good with small and cramped spaces but god with heights, Phil was ok with small and cramped spaces but not with heights. He was ok with climbing frames but jumping from one thing to another he hated and was scared of. Especially since 'leap of faith' was eighty feet in the air. He hadn't wanted to go on the zip wire on the first day but did because he knew he had to for the team. On the way to the course he held on to Sam's hand tightly. "Don't worry, it'll be alright. Promise." She said encouragingly, he soothed a little but all his nerves and fears came back when he saw the course. They stopped next to a tower type thing that was designed to look like a very tall tree. "Ok, get into your two teams. What's going to happen is that you're going to climb up the tower to the top the leap from the tower on to the pole and climb down the rope. Now you'll have safety equipment and be attached to a rope so if you fall you should just come back down not actually fall and die." The DCI joked but Phil looked completely petrified so Sam took his hand again and gave it a little squeeze of reassurance. He smiled at her weakly. Team Exclusive went first and everyone made it apart from Ramini who missed the pole and just fell. She got to the ground and sighed. "Oh damn." She said. Then Team Baywatch went. Phil went after Sam. He climbed up the ladder, he stopped at one point but knew he had to go on. He kept going thniking about how brave Sam would think he was. He got to the top and looked down. "Woah, that's far!" He gulped. He tried to forget about it and just carry on. He pressed aginat the tower and took a run up before leaping. He flew through the air but didn't jump high enough. Sam, on the ground, gasped as he fel a bit. He'd been so close but then he reached out and grabbed the pole. Pushing against it he hoisted himself up and then climbed back down the rope. When he reached the ground he ran and hugged Sam. "You were amazing, honestly. I thought you were gonna fall but then you grabbed on and - oh god you were so brave." She said quickly and excitedly. Phil laughed ta her, "you sounded as scared as I was!" She also laughed but was cut off when Phil kissed her. "'Bout bloody time." The DCI shouted making everyone, including Sam and Phil, laugh.
They all went back to the camp Phil telling everyone how scared he was. Sam was walking ahead with Jo. Phil ran up to Sam and put his arms around her. "Y'know there was a time that I was even more scared on this trip." He whispered into her ear. "Yeah when?" She asked.
"When you went over the handle bars of that quadbike." He whispered. Sam smiled. "Aww, how sweet." They went back to there tent together and while inside started kissing sweetly. Phil took Sam's hand and they collapsed on the floor together. "I love you." Sam said to him.
"I love you too." Phil said back and began to kiss her again. phil was about to get more intimate when Sam stopped. "What's wrong?" He asked concerned.
"I just think we should leave that until we get back home. Sorry, it's just. It doesn't feel right with everyone here and in a tent." Phil smiled.
"Ok Sam, but tomorrow night when we're back home." He started.
"I promise," she kissed him then got up and went back out into the camp. Phil followed a few minutes later smiling about the promise.
"about bloody time " :lol: love it :D shame they didn't 'do' it! but still loving it!
yeah, possibly I'll go into more detail when they get back home! Glad you liked it though. sorry that I haven't updated for a bit.

probably as it seems like it should be but I might do it in a different thread so it's like part two. Back at home or something.
Phil woke up and smiled. He was going home today and he was going to hold Sam to her promise. They'd both waited long enough, not only a week but for at least one and a half years. He took hold of Sam's hand and with his thumb gently stroked her hand. She woke up twent minutes after Phil had, the first thing she saw was Phil looking at her. She smiled. "Morning gorgeous." She yawned. Phil smiled too. "Hey," he said before kissing her. They both sat up when Jo entered. "Sorry, DCI wants us all to get change and hurry up. We're gonna be putting the tents away then getting ready to leave." Jo disappeared again so Phil and Sam could get dressed and go out to get breakfast. Everyone ate together talking about how the week had been. "Hey I'm only one apart from Niel and Jack who came here single and is leaving single. I mane Sam and Phil, Ramini and Terry, Susie and Mickey. Jo came here already in a relationship. " Zain complained.
"Don't worry, I bet some woman or possibly man is out there for you." Sam said. Zain scowled playfully. "I'm not gay." He said quickly.
"Denial." Phil mimicked the sharks from 'Finding Nemo'. Everyone laughed apart from Zain. "Aw Zain, c'mon we're only having a laugh." Zain still wouldn't laugh or even smile. He ate breakfast in silence annoyed with everyone for laughing but especially annoyed with Phil and Sam. When breakfast was eaten and cleared away everyone had to take down there tents. Zain thought he'd get payback on Sam and Phil so while they were in there tent getting there stuff out he pulled the pegs and the tents collapsed on them. They scrambled out, Zain was laughing at them. When they were both out Phil went to go after Zain but Sam held him back.
"Forget it Phil, at least he's smiling again." She reasoned. Phil sighed. "Fine."
At half one everyone was ready and there stuff was packed on the minibus. Phil and Sam sat together. Sam fell asleep against his shoulder, Phil watched her for a bit. At one point a couple of strands of hair fell over her face so Phil pushed them back and kissed the top if her head. He woke her up as Jack stopped the minibus outside the station. They got off the bus and Phil helped Sam put her stuff in her car. "Thanks." Sam appreciated his help.
"Can I still see you tonight, you said." Phil said seriously.
"Course you can. D'you want to come round mine or me go round yours?" Sam asked smiling at Phil's face that seemed to be glowing.
"Well, do you want to come round mine?" Phil asked.
"Sure, I'll be around at half six." Sam suggested.
"Great, see you then." Phil said before Sam got in her car. He watched her drive away. This week hadn't been so bad, he'd conquered his fear of free falling, admitted his feelings for Sam and had them returned, made Neil look like a prat and had gotten a girlfriend. A girlfriend that he'd do anything to protect and loved with all his heart.
Read and review plz! Hope you liked. Probably will do the back home part but possibly not because you can pretty much guess what's gonna happen. Unless you want me to, just remember to tell me that you do.
