From todays Sun
Shock Horror for Pauline Fowler when she discovers her new hubby has a shady past. Viewers will discover that Paulines new hubby has got convictions for Robbery and Fraud. (Didnt Arfur have something similar????)
The storylines are due to come out in the Spring.
What is it with EE. Is everyone in E17 a CRIM or related to one. Are there no ordinary fols living there at all :rolleyes:

Yes it can't be nice hiding the fact he used to voice the Mr Benn and King Rollo cartoons. Imagine telling that to your future wife to be. :o

oh no !!!! poor pauline !!! you would of thought she has been through enough!. maybe he has changed and turned over a leaf and is honest with pauline after there married as he doesn't want pauline to not marry him because of past?...do you think pauline will be able to forgive and forget or will it be divorce straight away!!!

so i wonder whether he just tells pauline so hes not keeping secrets from her and that he isnt like that anymore, or if he tries to forge money out of the fowlers?
I don't think he is trying to get money out of them. It is possible that his friend might let it slip but I feel that it is in the past

plus all this mystery around honey and her dad's relationship, and the secret they're hiding, it looks as those its a spring/summer of suprises down walford way

I think Pauline will forgive him. Surely there not going to have them get married and then break them up and let her be miserable again. The robbery and fraud he did in the past, it was probably as a teenager or early 20's. It's doubtful it was recent. And what happened to his wife was euthanasia, it wasn't cold blooded murder.
I haven't heard about a secret surrounding Honey and her dad, what is it?! and what's the source?

i think pauline will forgive him too he only committed the crime that dot commited so she would understand him not wanting to see his wife suffer and look at the fowlers mark was always in trouble martin was in jail for manslaughter and arthur was in jail for theft then wrongly in prisoned for fraud so as long as its deep in joe's past i can't see a problem and i think he is genuine he loves her deeply.
give them some happiness or write pauline out i can't stand another 10 years of her being miserable

the secret about honey is mentioned in this weeks inside soap it says something about her dad making life difficult for billy and honey but we realise why he is so protective of her when their family secret comes out.

It doesn't mention what it is though, does it?
I can't remember what Honey said about her mother. I think she said she died while having her. It might be something surrounding that. Maybe she wasn't telling the whole truth about it.

yeah maybe that would explain a reason why her dad would be so protective perhaps its something that she doesnt know yet that her dad is protecting her from.
if her mom did die in child birth could it be something herreditory and her dad to his tries to stop her from settling down so she doesnt get pregnant but too late she already is.

That would be a really good storyline! Honey's dad thinks Honey has the disease, but then she goes for tests and discovers that she's in the clear.

of course then they finally have their happy ending when the baby is born and get married then the crack will probably start appearing as there cant be a happy marriage in walford

Yes, Arthur did do something like that with the christmas club money. I don't think Pauline will think too much of the crimes as it is evident that he has turned over a new leaf. I think she'll just be off with him for a week because he didn't tell her when they were engaged, even though he barely would have had time. Typical EE cliche, she finds out at the end of Monday's episode, they row all week and then make up on friday.

Exactly! We shouldn't jump to conclusions before we hear the full story. From what i've seen I think Joe cares for Pauline very much, and most people make mistakes when there young. Obviously some are worse than others, but as long as it's not a violent crime that he's committed or any kind of sexual assault, I think you could come to terms with it. I don't think it's going to be as bad as the Ed/Eileen situation on Corrie.
