Ryan Thomas was shocked to be summoned back to his headmaster's office recently.
The Coronation Street actor, who plays builder Jason Grimshaw, was handing out awards at his old school when he was told that an ex-teacher wanted to speak with him. He was soon handed back an item which had been confiscated from him during his school days.
"We happened to be going through the items confiscated from students when I spotted a silver ring that had been taken off Ryan just before he left in 2000," Ryan's former head of year Vin Faldu told the Daily Record.
"Somebody joked that we should put it on eBay, but I thought it would be a good idea to return it to him."
