View Full Version : Bring back my show
I was listening to an Irish radio station yesterday and they were talking about bringing back shows that people missed, I am not talking about repeats but bringing them back. For example some mother do have them, A-team etc
For me it would be
Friends
Father Ted
Knightrider
The golden girl
Son's and Daughters
Sunset beach
What show would you like to be un-axed
The man from UNCLE
Father Ted
Monty Python
Dallas (only kidding just said that to impress BB)

Hmmm those are British programs. I would love to see the A-team ( sadly alot of them are no longer with us or too old ) Knight Rider ( David Hasseloff.. hmm isn't he a bit too long in the tooth ) come back, but would they be as good as we remembered them when we were knee high to a prarie dog ??? :p
What about The Whirlybirds
now im really showing my age

I remeber him but what did you call his little monkey.
Hill Street Blues was another favourite of mine. Luckily it is being shown in its entirety on More 4 every weekday
I did google Circus Boy (http://www.whirligig-tv.co.uk/tv/children/circusboy/circusboy.htm) The chimp was called BOBO

I remeber him but what did you call his little monkey.
the only pet Corky had was BIMBO,,the baby elephant, I think he did have a chimp at one time it was named COCO after his sister..
Mickey(Braddock) Dolenz went on to be one of the 4 Monkees :p
According to google
''Corky shared screen time on the live-action Circus Boy with clown Uncle Joey and the always energetic Pete. Corky's pet chimpanzee was called Bobo. Other featured animals were Sultan, the tiger and Nuba the Lion.''

They would not be able to make new episodes of father Ted as he died
we know that, we are just saying which shows we would like to see come back.
some of the shows I mention people are dead in them too.
Steptoe and son is another i just thought off

Well I am big enough to admit I was wrong :D I was doing a trivia question on CIRCUS BOY a few weeks ago, asking who was the actor who played little tom..how was I supposed to know they would answer it the first go,, BILLY BARTY ( rest his soul ) so I had to send out a prize to Vancouver LOL I love doing these things tho

That scenario didn't stop Kevin Whateley making a new series without his colleague Inspector Mooooooooose did it.
Yes bring back Rent-a-ghost. Let's give Sue Nicholls double airtime!

Or Taggart. Its still going on despite the demise of gravel voiced Mark McManus

Hmmmm Tony Danza,Danny Devito( Throw Momma from a Train, Twins, Other Peoples Money ) Chrisopher Lloyd(Back To the Future and Who Killed Roger Rabbit)Jeff Conway( Grease),Judd Hirsch,(Independance Day) Marli Lu Henner and Carol Kane( Scrooged),,they are all living ,, but Andy Kaufman ( rest his soul ) is no longer with us,, that was a great show !!!!
I do not know the program Prisoner Cell Block H.. will have to look it up :)
Richie_lecturer

Considering it's been about 12 years since Mr McManus snuffed it, it's amazing it's still going. Not as good as it used to be though.

I do not know the program Prisoner Cell Block H.. will have to look it up :)
It was an Australian 80s drama show. Used to be shown late at night on some of the old ITV regions until the mid-late 90s IIRC. Some of the actors in it are now in Neighbours, like Harold - not that I watch Neighbours/Aussie soaps any more.

But I thought that Father Ted was the main character and him and Dougal worked well together. Dont all shout at me but what about TFI friday
God no!!! TGI friday was a load of bull. I prefer saturday night live with Ben Elton. Bring back the young ones!!!

But I thought that Father Ted was the main character and him and Dougal worked well together.
Actually in this case I agree. Dermot Morgan MADE Father Ted, along with his supporting cast. Without Dermot though it would never have worked. Ardal O'Hanlon is crud IMO and not funny at all. That sitcom he did a few years ago was cringeworthy.
But I thought that Father Ted was the main character and him and Dougal worked well together. Dont all shout at me but what about TFI fridaySame with Morse though Brenda and Taggart - it could be focussing on Dougal instead :searchme:
The Young Ones - pure class
