scrapped and a whole new system out in - its terrible what some people have to go through just to get some money - a friend of mine waited two years - in the end she had to phone them and tell them where he was working (had to go investigating herself) and now gets £2.50 a week to help bring up her child

How much did they waste on the crap EDS system? £456million or thereabouts?

Nice to know our tax money is being well spent.

my son is now 10 and even though hen i had him i was told that if i did not give his info to them my benefit would be stopped, i have never seen a penny (not that i want to he is a waste of space!!) but they are just a waste if time and money they need a new system

From the other point of view, fathers who do pay are penalised for those who dont. A wage of £240/w (before tax) means payments in the region of £60/w, regardless of whether the father has the child 2 nights at weekends, two evenings a week, and buys all the clothes (school & Leisure), shoes, feeds the child on the 4 nights he has them, pays for all school trips / classes / anything else. This is all because the mother has better things to do with the £60 than spend it on her child. The CSA refuse to recognise the fact that the father pays for all this, as he "chooses" to do it. Problem is, if the father does not buy it the child does not get it, though this is not appreciated by the CSA. :angry:

It should be scrapped! and a more fairer system put in place. No parent grudges paying for their child providing the money actually goes toward their care.

My parents split up just after i was born and we have not seen my father for 22 years. My mother never recieved a penny for all 3 of us as the csa said they could not find him even though we gave his address!!!

Scrap it, and come up with a more effective system.

Definitely scrap it, something needs to be done about it, and it should be replaced with a more efficent system.
