Rebekah Gibbs To Leave 09/02/06

After 18 months on the show, actress Rebekah Gibbs, who plays technician Nina, has announced she's leaving. The actress will film her final scenes this May. The show are keeping tight-lipped about Nina's departure this summer.

Rebekah says, "I've had an extremely positive experience working on Casualty and have made some fantastic, life long friends. It has been an honour to work with such a professional team in front of and behind the camera. I'm looking forward to the future and whatever it may hold in TV and stage."

Hmm this isn't good, three paramedics down ?? Wonder what sort of replacements they will get for them ?? Woody,Luke now Nina:hmm:

As far as I know they are replacing Woody with Sam(going to train as a paramedic), but I dont know about the other two, they'll probably bring in fresh blood!!

I sure hope that they bring in some wise cracking paramedics, some one fun but at the same time serious about what they are doing. Woody was introduced as a womanizer ( remember his first scene in the hot tub?) I sure hope they bring in some one decent !! Seems like the young actors are leaving in fears they may be typecast...:searchme:

Well I for one am glad she's leaving although I would much rather Selena left; I could stand an army of Brunos over her and that is seriously saying something still, hopefully they will bring in some good new paramedics.

I am really gutted about Nina leaving. She was the best paramedic in my opinion. She will probably leave in the series finale or something like that. What will happen to her relationship with Abs? Are they stil together? :confused:

It's not fair as i really like nina. Plus her and abs are my fave casulty couple (athough thinkin about it there arent really many couples in casualty to choose from). I don't want to see Abs and Nina to split -maybe nina will die as at the mo I cant see her and abs splitting up

Well someone usually dies in every series so it could possibly be her :)
