One of the old memory lane incidents:

Angie Watts' suicide attempt, watched by millions and talked about for yonks afterwards. It was so realistic at the time, even with the tablets in her mouth etc. Classic 1980's stuff.

Anyone remember this, or am I too old? :(

You're not the only one. It was fantastic, then again Easties was in those days. I remember it being portrayed very coldly.
