Three new actors will be joining the cast of The Bill later this month.
First up is Neil Stuke, who stars as tortured father James Tennant. Sun Hill leads a frantic search to find his missing daughter, six-year-old Amy, but an unexpected twist is in store. Stuke first appears in the February 15 episode and will be on the show for a ten-month stint.
Also joining on February 15 is Jo-Anne Knowles as Mia Perry, a Directorate of Public Affairs (DPA) Officer brought in to manage the press interest in the investigation. "A wheeler-dealer with the gift of the gab, she loves her job and is very good at it," a spokeswoman told DS. "She is a maverick who uses her insider status to win journalists round and get them working for her and the police. Single Mia will turn heads, but will she find lasting love at Sun Hill?"
Meanwhile, Doug Rao will join CID as "ruthless go-getter" Stuart Turner in the March 22 episode. The character is described as a "hot shot DC" with one eye on promotion and the other on DS Sam Nixon, causing sparks to fly with DS Phil Hunter.
