Meanwhile, Harry is still avoiding Ellen. Nina confronts Harry,
telling him she saw the pregnancy test for herself, and Harry is
forced to concede that Ellen may be telling the truth.

oh yikes !! the slapper has a bun in the oven? I had no idea ..then tomorrow night I will be watching this and watching how Harry is gonna worm his way out of this one.

Consultant Harry Harper seems to have the weight heavily on his shoulders at the moment. Facing constant battles with Corporate Manager Nathan which nearly led him to resign, the stress of his SHO Guppy blaming him for his father's suicide and fed up with being the subject of hospital gossip after staff found out about his brief affair with nurse Ellen.

But as if things don't get worse for the Consultant, Ellen drops a bombshell on him this week and he initially doesn't take things well.

'The split was down to the pressure on him by senior staff members,' explains Simon MaCorkindale, who plays him. 'They felt that the relationship was inappropriate because of him being in such a higher position to her.

'He just feels as though the relationship compromises both of them and it therefore should have no future'

Since the break up, Harry has been desperate to avoid a confrontation with the nurse, but as the day wears on, Ellen and Harry find themselves caught up in an emotional case, which finally gets the pair talking.

Harry has to give instructions over the phone to Robbie, a boy whose mum has gone into labour following a car crash. but although the baby arrives safely, tragedy strikes when Robbie is mown down by a police car sent out to assist him. He's rushed to Holby ED, where Ellen and Harry battle to save his life.

The events soften Harry up and he relents in agreeing to discuss their relationship in his office. Ellen sees the opportunity to break the news that she's pregnant.

'When Ellen tells him she's pregnant, he doesn't believe her,' explains Simon. 'He knows she wants to get back with him and thinks it's another one of her ploys.'

Ellen is crushed when he cold-heartedly asks her to prove that she's pregnant and ends up slapping him round the face before storming out.

So does Ellen face motherhood alone or will widowed, father-of-five, Harry come round to the news? 'When he discovers she's telling the truth he responds in a very caring and considerate way. He wants to do all the right things and she wants to have the baby' concludes Simon.

He is soo gonna stand by her!!!

anyone feel slightly sorry for ellen or is it just me? I know she was evil when she married abs but she doesn't deserve to be deserted when she's pregnant

OOo.. Thing is if Ellen stays pregnant, she wouldn't be able to work soon, so by seies 21 she could be out the light....

Yes Sam is Tess son and he has had his own story line ( last season) hes got some of his own issues .

He had ocd. But hes getting better. I think hed make a really good paramedic. AS long as he does get emotionally involved like he normally does

It's wierd, I used to hate Ellen but I actually don't mind her now; she's been less annoying lately and I can actually bare to watch her now; shame I can't say the same thing about Selena, Kelsey or Bruno but at least Bruno will be gone soon. As for Sam becoming a paramedic; it'll be great; he needs some more storylines and to become more of a main character as he lately he either isn't in the episodes or only has short appearances at the reception.

i love nina and ellen at the moment they are wonderful together, its great that they might finally get close and be there for each other

Selena only agreed to go with Nathan after Harry turned her down.. I think Selena has kind of feel for Nathan, but the scenes with her and Harry, are a bit more revaling, shes a bit touchy feely with him lately, and in a media anaysis prospective, that is a sign.

Harry will see sense soon, Ellen will go back to her old ways, ins only right, for a character to do so.

I read that on the casualty web site aswell, it sounds interesting but i think harry will ruin his life marrying ellen or harrys children might dump him for going with ellen

I thought Harrys kids sorta liked her ?? guess not.. but she is going to make sure she gets all she can ..Wonder if she ever sorted her immigration problems ???

Ellen is a little more tolerable since she dropped the very very bad ukranian accent. I'm from kiev and boy is that false. She sounds more polish !
