Fringes

I've finally decided that now is the time to grow my fringe out, but at the minute, all it does it poke in my eyes and irritate them. Any tips on how to make it look nice and stop me poking my eyes?

You've seen how long it is Mindy, its really annoying!! All day today, my eyes have been sore from it.....:(

And, no i wont cut it, cause i'm GROWING it!!!!!!

Slides are the only thing I can think of, they would stop your fringe going in your eyes and annoying you and the look nice :)

Well i'm growing my hair, and i'll probably switch to a more sided parting, and a sweeping fringe (Mindy: Sort of like Gillian F).

Also, then i can do more stuff with it if its longer, when the prom comes around

lol, i dont want to get rid of it completly, because it just doesn't suit me without one.

Anyway, how can i stop my eyes hurting me, without looking like a 12 year old?!

erm thats a great question but i dont have a fringe...so im guessing you dont!!lol clips really is the best suggestion and you get really funky ones these days

Its just coming below my eyes right now.

See, i'm not sure about clips you see, because it gives me flashbacks to when i was 12, and wore them!!!!

No, i just looked so stupid! I was 12 though, i hardly cared that much.

So what d'ya suggest then?

i cant really suggest anything because you dont wna wear clips/grips anything do you!! just have to have sore eyes!!

how ironic i just got a fringe cut lol :p
use a headband, one of the pointy ones so you can scrape it back. or put your hair in a side parting and brush it to the side. this might require pushing it back over to the side every few minutes but hey it works for me! :D

Small clips are good. I have a small fringe and at home I hold it back with a clip or else I get more spots all over my forehead.

You could try wearing a hairband. Don't know about they eyes though lol. Can't remember what I did when I had mine grown out, must have been about 6!

only pick up your fringe and scrape it back like your putting in a ponytail then clip it up. is that clear because i don;t know how to explain it. like in a kind of bouffant thing

Well, i had a discussion about this at lunchtime today with Mindy, and i think now she agrees that clips really dont suit me. I might try a hairband more often, otherwise i guess i'll be doing what Jada says and just constantly push it to the side

I used to have a fringe when I was young, I really don't think I would suit it now! I used to be cute but now I am not so sure lol...

yeh i no what you mean a bit like a quiff but not a big one!!! loads of people at my school have them they suit anyone!! But start having it with your hair down, then with your hair up as some girls do, as peole are used to you with a fringe it may be a bit of a shock!

When i grew my fringe out i used a headband. i decided that i look better with one so i got one cut in last year just before my prom.

I used to have a fringe, but I had it cut. My friend Heather has a fringe that almost goes down to her nose! She can barely see!! lol

my fringe is long, same length as my hair but im sure in the future i will have to get it cut as those tell tale lines on the forehead show my age too much!!!!!

Heather has a very long fringe, she never tries to hide it. She always has a scarf or a 3 headbands and it always looks good.

ive just got a fringe and already im sick of it! lol im growing mine out into a side fringe it looks quite good lol

A quiff looks nice too. If you still want a bit of your fringe hanging down seperate it from the quiff so youve got part of your fringe then a quiff behind it. My friend does that and looks really nice

I like my fringe, but I have to straigten it to keep it from kinking out, also, it's a bad place for spots.
