in the past a handmade card with a specially written verse has gone down good!

and maybe go to the beatr factory and buy a bear and record an "i love you" message for when she hugs it.

This is just my opinion, but I HATE valentines day, I just think it is a day to seperate the people who don't go out with someone from those who do, and make those who don't, well, it probably makes them feel bad :(

I love just a cute little teddy bear (nothing fancy, just cute!) or something personal- i met my first boyfriend at the odean. Valentines day he gave me the ticket, and had framed it and everything. Bless him! Sounds pathetic, but it was so cute that he even bothered to keep the ticket!!!!!! And it was all posh and everythiing......

Oh, and a nice card. Nothing cheesy or filled with inneundo :p

92% of men would like to have flowers on Valentines Day.
Girls like chocolates, flowers, cards. These don't last so perfume, teddies or trinkets are nice :)

Angeltigger

well you can go wrong with chocolate some time as girls are moaning about what chocolate- as some girls think you are trying to make them fat- so Teddy is the best idea

I'm with you on this Luna. Commercialised crap. Its so true - the thing i really dislike about it too though is the pressure on younger ones about the whole getting a valentine thing - talk about confidence knocking - i used to hate the day coming round, everyone saying oooo how many did you get - its all about trying to get us to spend even more money than we already do

i hate it too. it's so depressing for people who don't have that special someone. you just wanna sit and cry all day.

i hate it too. it's so depressing for people who don't have that special someone. you just wanna sit and cry all day.Exactly, so much emphasis is put on it that if you are on your own, you feel extremely depressed and like you are the only person without someone (been there done it) and if you are with someone you feel obliged to buy something for them. Its a horrible day!!

I never got anything for valentines day and I know loads of single people who feel crap on this day too.. Last year, me and my niece got each other presents like chocolates and teddy bears.. the year before we went clubbing. it is the best night to meet someone cause all the lovey dovey couples are all at home been romantic

A couple of years ago, me and my girlfriends ( both married and single) went to Wal Mart at midnight on Valentines day, and we each bought the biggest darn box of chocolates we could find FOR OURSELVES at half price, and bought ourselves a rose.. went to an all night restraunt and had burgers and fries and our chocolates ( well not the whole box ) LOL . It was alot of fun. I miss Wal Mart, they seriously need a bunch of them in Holland :p
