I remember my cousin telling me years ago that it can cause your bones to ache when you're older, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you'd get artheritis. Artheritis is quite serious.

Stop clicking your fingers!! I have juvenile arthritis, got it when I was 2, 12 years ago, a reaction to a really nasty bout of Scarlet Fever. I've had it on and off, I'm fine now though, the only thing different from normal people is that my elbows don't do a full 180 degree stretch, just almost. Nobody would know I had arthritis now, but it was a real bother when I was younger, and clicking can encourage it in later life.

My uncle used to click his fingers all the time when he was little. He is now 50 and does not have arthritis.

There are lots of reports on this, and no two doctors can agree if it causes Arthritis or not,but what has been proved is that the clicking noise is cause by two things, some amounts of gas build up in the joint and the bones grinding together, which as far as I am concerned, it must wear the bone down, which isn't a good thing. It has been proved that arthritis can be caused by your hands being constantly in water, so get out them rubber gloves.

Please, no clicking gang.

I click my fingers all the time. Its something to do with the nitrogren build up in the fingers (don't quote me on that).

From what I've read, doesn't cause arthritis but you might want to be taking Omega 3 (fish oil) if you are worried about arthritis.

Glucosamine is also a very good supplement to take, which helps lubricate the joints. I know it has been recommended to a lot of joint pain sufferers...

Yep, I took Glucosamine for my juvenile arthritis, it's great. But the tablets you have to swallow with water are practically the size of a Seafrance Ferry! Just lucky I'm quite good at swallowing them!
