Someone told me that on January 1 2007, age that you are able to get a provisional licence at is going to rise to 18. Does anyone know if this is true?

might not be a bad idea to make all those boy racers wait a bit longer before taking to our roads, they really are nutters!
but then again it penalises those who are going to drive safely.

I think it's ok for the boy racers but i've been waiting ages to be ble to drive instead of having to get thor my mum or dad to drive me around.

Yeah i think if they are changeing the age than it because of the boy racers and i think it becasue more accidents are younger people and at 18 you are more grown up- but it don't affected me as i can learn to drive when i want as i have gone past that age

i have not heard about this being introduced but i think it may be a good point as it may reduce a lot of the joyriding incidents

I havent heard that, I dont think its happening.

Not sure if the driving age should be raised, if boyracers are driving badly at 17 they will probably be driving badly at 18 and upwards too

I've heard the rumour but this (http://www.2pass.co.uk/driving-age.htm) page clears it all up.
