View Full Version : See yourself slimmer
Has anyone heard of this website? You send them a picture of yourself as you are now and they send you the photo back but they adjust it so its how you could look at your goal weight :) Its meant to give you the encouragement to lose the excess pounds. Its £24.99 a photo though, I think its a bit pricey myself.
That is expensive. I found I was more encourage to lose weight when I saw a photo of myself at my heaviest and I cringed
i'd agree with you there siobhan - i saw a photo of me at my brothers wedding and it really inspired me - and best of all it was free :)
Yeah exactly.. and if you see a photo of yourself done too far into the future, it will probably make you feel worse thinking you might not get there.. It is ok to visualise yourself thin but seen it in a pic for really might have the opposite affect on your motivation and willpower

yeah i have a picture of me now on my fridge i see it every time i open the fridge door and think hmm maybe i wont eat that choco dessert!
I think that is over priced and don't see that it would have done anything for me. I was on BBC a few times in May last year to do with my night club work, and thought oh my,I look old and very fat, that was it,I started my diet and havent looked back. :cheer:
In some ways i think it could help you to lose weight as you'd want to look like the picture, but as the rest of you said its a photo of you when you are overweight that makes you stick to it. Everytime me and my mates go out drinking we take a camera and I used to dread seeing the pictures, not so much now but those pictures were what made me think about the amount of weight i had put on.

In a normal world that would be the way to go but in this day and ages we are bombarded with images of very thin models with promises that we can look that good too... There is too much emphasis on size and shape nowadays that it makes anyone who is not model thin very upset.. I am not overweight and I look ok but I still want to be thinner cause that is what everyone is saying is the way to look... shame really
