X Factor reject Chico has signed a record deal with Sony BMG. The former stripper and goat herder will release his debut single It's Chico Time on February 27.

His performance of the song was one of the most memorable moments from the ITV talent show. Chico, who was mentored by Sharon Osbourne, said he had been mobbed by fans since appearing on TV.

"The whole thing has been unbelievable," he said. "I'm absolutely loving every minute of it, and looking forward to releasing the single at last." Chico is taking part in the nationwide X Factor tour, which kicks off in Newcastle next month.

On a serious side - what on earth is going on with the music industry - I'm sorry but he couldn't sing and was starting to get so up himself, that he couldn't entertain either!!!!

I predict one or two novelty singles at the most. Dont get me wrong im sure that chico is a very nice man but he cant sing a note. Personality or not that must count for something surely!?

I suppose its like everything, if bmg think they can make a quick buck then the quality of the music doesnt matter

i think chico is a good dancer but not singer but he did add some spice to the xfactor lol :p

Hes a good entertainer. hed be good at gigs and that. He would really work the crowd. But a single with just his voice wouldnt show whole chico thing
