these photos are takin from a video shot of a couple saving a baby girl from a lagoon,found floating in brazil.she was inside a plastic bag and crying.As the couple fished out the bag with a branch they thought they were saving a kitten.It was only when they opened the bag they discovered the two month old.She had been kept afloat by a small piece of wood inside the bag.Brazilian tv say they have arrested the mother who claims she didnt put her daughter in the lagoon.She said she had given her to a homeless couple as she could not affrod to raise her.The baby was treated in hospital beofr being released into the care of social services.the police say they have been unindated with offers of people wanting to adopt her.

I couldnt believe it when I saw these pictures.

How anyone could do that to a baby is just unthinkable. If they wanted to abandon the baby why not drop her in a hospital? At least there would be no risk of the baby dying!

I have two friends who are dying to have a baby.. this child would have been loved by either one,, I never could get my head around people who do such STUPID things to babies or kids:angry:

my mums friend cant have kids and when she herd about this she couldent stop crying

think how many couples out there who are trying to have babies and can't have them, and some woman like that in Brazil decides she doesn't want hers any more and pitches it in the lagoon,why bother having a child in the first place.................:wall:

In my books thats attempted murder. How on earth could someone do that to a such a fragile being is incomprehensible to me. FFS, if you wanted to abandon it, drop it off somewhere it will be found - like the doorstep of a hospital.

Poor little mite,how can the mother be so uncaring to just drop it into the lagoon? Ican not understand how someone could be so callous and cruel to there own flesh and blood.

Thats shocking if you dont want you baby you sould leave it soemwhere safe where other people could look after it and give it a happy life. Not drown it!

that is so sad isnt it, lets hope the baby is well and ends up with people who will care for it. in brazil though there is a lot of poverty, street children etc, so lets hope someone takes it.

Ugh, I'm disgusted how any mother could do that! I can't understand how anyone can put a baby girl in a plastic bag and put her in a lake.
Apparently the baby is a in a Brazillian hospital and is in very good health and is up for adoption. Her mother has been arrested. At least the the baby us alive :)
