It has been the year for reunions and comebacks, but the future is looking bleak for teeny rockers McFly.

Frontman Danny Jones has apparently been asked to leave the band to go solo in America.

It is believed the singer/songwriter begged his record company for the summer off to concentrate on his writing, but the news hasn't gone down too well with his fellow bandmates.

The remaining members of the group are apparently terrified Danny will leave and never come back leaving them missing their lead singer.

The year hasn't got off to an amazing start for McFly. Sales for their album Wonderland have been low and their latest single only just scraped into the top ten.

The last straw for Danny is believed to be when they were snubbed for any Brit Awards nominations.

Danny has been invited to write songs for a top US production company, an offer hard for the frontman to resist.

Feeling a sense of deja vu? That will be because when Charlie Simpson from Busted asked for two months off, his record bosses refused - soon after he jacked in the band and started up his own group Fightstar.

:eek: how am i going to survive i'm so traumitised pass the vodka quick :cartman:

Well there has to always been the end for a band soon than later- but i was reading a magizine and it said who is the new Mcfly- so i think i kind of knew it was going to happen. but it is sad! Good Luck to them all what ever they all do- groups need to have more than one lead singer- so that if one leave they can carry on- but i will be quite now

oh my i dont know if ill be able to go on if they split!!! :rolleyes:



whatever! their songs werent great!! and they were only successful coz all busted fans went on to them!!

They're an awfull band anyway. They're a kids band, so he's bound to get annoyed as he gets older. From what i've heard, he's a talented writer as well, he's not going to be taken seriously if he's part of that band. I doubt he'll be successfull on his own though. He's never get rid of his "teen boy band" label.

They were weren't they and i wasn't really that keen on busted so i wasn't that keen on mcflay when they came out.

Debs I was a busted fan and I never really liked them! They were just a cheap copy. I know about two people that will not be able to cope if the band splits and that's someone in my year and a year 8. I only couldn't care if they split, the aren't that talented
