Is anyone else getting mixed messages on the whole 'Friends reuniting' business?! I read in the Daily Mail today that they had spoken to Kathleen Turner and she had said as far as she knew they were definetely going back for a final series of Friends, which was going to include 4 one hour specials. I have recently read though, on the internet that a writer from the show has quashed the rumours, and has said that there's no truth in them.

There's a few questions I would like answered. If there's no truth in the rumours of a reunion, why does Kathleen Turner think there is? and why would she tell a journalist this if she wasn't pretty certain it was going ahead? There must have been some kind of conversation to lead her to this conclusion.

I would like to know for definite if they are making a final series of Friends? so if anybody could tell me I would be grateful.

I for one could see it happening, I might be clutching at straws, but none of their careers have done well since leaving Friends. And if the amount of money they are offering them is true, it would be very difficult to turn that down. Of course being as mega rich as they are, they don't need it, but if you had the choice to go back to something you loved for a short space of time, and make that kind of money wouldn't you do it?! Of course I hope it's true, but it's probably not considering a writer has supposedly said it isn't.

Also, there is no garuntee all of us in the UK even if it is released. Or we'd see ages after it's released in the US of A lol

It's bound to be on Sky at some point, they wouldn't not have Friends released in the U.K., people would be up in arms. And it will do wonders for the viewing figures. The channels are usually fighting over who is going to show it.

I am more inclined to believe the writers, I'm afraid to say. Kathleen Turner is in the Westend and people actually producing the show are in America. I think if it's been confirmed by a writer, it's pretty conclusive.

That being said though, maybe the writers are being diplomatic, not telling journalists before it has been officially confirmed. And Kathleen Turner might have spoken out of turn.
