Corrie actress Jane Danson is expecting her first child, it was confirmed today.

The 27-year-old, who plays Leanne Battersby in the show, is three months pregnant, a Corrie spokesperson said.

It is her first child with actor husband Robert Beck, who Jane married last month, and the couple are said to be "very happy" with the news.

Jane's current situation is a far cry from her on-screen character Leanne who is now dating her ex-fiance's father, Danny!

Aww I don't want Leanne to leave, she's a great character! I suppose with this whole Danny/Mike storyline she could maybe become really twisted so that Danny kicks her out?
