TV actress Amanda Holden has given birth to her first child.

The Cutting It star and her music producer fiance Chris Hughes are "overwhelmed and completely thrilled" following their daughter's arrival, her spokeswoman added.

Alexa Louise Florence Hughes, who will be called Lexi, weighed in at 6lbs and was delivered by Caesarian section at a London hospital.

Alison Griffin, the actress's spokeswoman, said: "They are overwhelmed and completely thrilled. She's absolutely gorgeous.

"They are both completely on a high and feeling fantastic."

At the UK premiere of In Her Shoes in November, the 34-year-old told reporters she was playing her daughter-to-be classical music on most days "to make her more intelligent".
