i just started watching it today and im not really following it! could anyone fill me in?

Eppisode 1US Park Ranger Russell Varon is a divorced father of two, expecting a third child with his new wife, local television reporter Larkin Groves. Following a devastating hurricane, during which his daughter Rose claims to have seen hundreds of lights floating towards the water during the storm, Russell discovers that his ex-wife, Dr Mariel Underlay, was found naked in the water, with no memory of the night before.

As the tiny Everglades town of Homestead, Florida, struggles to rebuild itself, Sheriff Tom Underlay requests that the entire area be quarantined, and Russell begins to investigate the strange events occurring in his hometown.

Episode 2: LIGHTS OUT
Russell discovers a barely living Air Force officer, Paxton, in a wet suit at the ranger station. He quickly realises that Paxton's wounds are identical to his brother-in-law Dave's, and wonders what happened to the man, but soon finds out that he's not the only one interested in Paxton when both Sheriff Underlay and Larkin question him about his mysterious circumstances.

Meanwhile, Mariel finds something inexplicable protruding from Paxton's wounds. Russell grows increasingly curious about the strange skeleton Dave retrieved, and Underlay continues to lobby for a town quarantine.

Episode 3
Russell must save Jesse after the teenager is knocked unconscious by a mysterious, unknown force while checking out a submerged mobile home with Kira. Russell also worries about Mariel's strange behaviour. Meanwhile, Larkin suspects that Underlay knows about a possible military cover-up, and Dave searches for the meaning of the inscription found on a wedding ring.


Episode 4
Underlay might get the quarantine he requested when Russell discovers that escaped laboratory animals may be responsible for a deadly flu virus that has spread throughout Homestead. Meanwhile, Jesse becomes jealous when Kira flirts with a boy at a party, and Larkin is physically attacked by a woman who questions the reporter's identity.

I missed the rest of the episodes since Episode 1. Kept forgetting what time it's on a Sunday, since they changed it after celeb big brother finished. I only wanted to see it because I knew Eddie Cibrian (who played Sunset Beach's Cole St John) was in it. :)
