This is proper bad, but i was trying out a text effect, and needed a picture to put it on. So its literally a picture and text, with some rectangles... Not anywhere near the normal amount of stuff i do to a pic to make a sig...

I kinda like the text though... Its a bit different..

Yeah, I think the text is pretty cool Abi. I like it with the rectangle things too, gives it that little bit more that it needed, inmy opinion. Would look much more fab with one of your proper amazing banners I think :)

I actually love the rectangles. I wish I could do them. I've tried downloading fonts and things for my version of psp, but it says they are a newer file type and not supported.

Its not a font, its just a text effect that i found. I think that is Ariel Black or something, which is just prettied up..

It was a pic off the net.. But i edited it beyond beleif, so you wouldn't recognise it if you saw it, lol!! It was pretty plain... so i spiced it up :D

Love that Abs :cheer: how did you do the square/grid type effect

I'll do me best to explain, lol!

1) Add a new layer, and colour it similar to the background of the rest of the banner (I chose an Orange colour)
2) Add a grid texture to it
3) Set the layer to "Soft Light"
4) Reduce the transparency down to 30%- ish
5) Add an overlay to the layer
6) Select the Brush, and get it to black (Make sure your on the Overlay)
7) Get rid of all the grid which goes over their body, leaving just the background covered in the grid

And your done!!

(The blurring on the banner is because i dont want you all knowing my name, my college, and what town i live in, so i blurred it out :p )

Love that background. Like the way the flower appears to be under the background. The font is great, I like fonts that have different coloured writing behind the original, and the O looks really good.

Hmm, it's okay. Personally I don't think the background goes with the red banner and buttons. I think it's just that I don't like the background though, I'm not completely sure :hmm:. Other than that, I think it's good. I like the fonts used, and I like the rose in the corner

I wasn't sure about the background either, but i put it on, to see what it looked like in the end. I'm trying to decide between that, and a really wait cream coloured grid. Nothing over the top, just watermarked into the background so it blends in. Do you think that would look better?

I do think that there's something with the text though :hmm:, I do really like the text, but I dunno lol.
I have realy big problems with text personally, and think it ruins most of my banners. But I think it's just cos i'm rather picky when it comes to text lol.

Yep, it is. But i have to make 2, because of module divisons. My other one is snazzier, but i had to keep that one simple, because of the marking etc..

For me..

Blending is fab!! , brightness/effects you've used, fab!!
It's just the text that annoys me really. I like it, but think it's in the wrong position?? Otherwise, amazing banner!!

(Btw... Hope you don't mind me giving you constructive critisism - I know I give you alot lol. It's just, that's what I like people to do, so try and give it to people' spesh if their banners are nye on perfect lol.)

You know the middle pic.. well perhaps try in the middle of the middle and the end right picture (where there's a slight gap), to add the text there in white... like on your other banner??

That's kind of what I meant yeah. Only in white.. but looking at the banner, it might be to bright?

Either way, don't give up with the font lol!!! Just practise, and you'll get there some day!!

Although with that Martha banner, I think it will look fab without text anyway, cause of the great blending!

I didn't notice the text on it the first time round, not until i read your comments on it Lea. But i agree white would be too bright, but the colour now, you can't really see it, but nice font tho :D
