Welcome to Las Vegas, and my new series!!! Some of you will probably think this is me taking a pretty terrible view of the lovely LV, but its just me taking a stereotype image of it and messing about with it a bit to create a horrible street with about 10 casinos and a lot of smoke :thumbsup: anyway, i'll post episode one asap :D

TOMTOM's realy name is Tammy Jones, but everyone she knows calles her Tomtom, excepting her mum. She's not someone to mess with - she has an opinion about everything (usually that it's a load of crap), and has never had a boyfriend in her life, due to scaring them away - all except her best friend Spider, who she gets on with like brother and sister.

SHEZZA was once a very quiet, sweet girl with loads of friends and the star grades at school. At 16, however, she turned sour, and got involved with a dodgey squat-dweller named Mark, and became hooked on all sorts of drugs, welcoming herself into the true world of Las Vegas.

STATUS: Sleeping with Mark

CHEE may look pretty innocent, but underneath the pretty face she's a cunning woman who manages to wrap people right round her finger and gain their trust, before proceeding to completely mess up their lives. She's married to a man called Axe, but only because of his many millions. You can expect plenty of mischief while she's around...

MARK is probably the nastiest piece of work anyone could come accross without being a murderer. He's taken over the once innocent Shezza's life and mind. He lives in a gross little squat with his drugs.

COREY is just about everything a girl could want. Everything "Sex God". Somehow he's managed to stay single for this long. He loves playing the guitar loudly in his garage, and used to be a member of a band.

SPIDER lives off the things he steals (a lot of stuff). He lives with his drugged-up mother in a flat above a grotty casino. Tomtom is probably his only friend, and he spends a lot of his time with her, but has recently noticed the slightly more fanciable side of Alison...

AXE is a rather unnoticed character, who spends a lot of time shut in a room of his giant of a house, dishing money out to his uncaring wife Chee through the services of his long-suffering butler Johnstone. On the rare occasion that he shows his face, he's showing Chee off to some relative or other.

STATUS: Married to Chee

EPISODE ONE
Strum... Strum...
So not loud enough. Turns up volume. Ehem...
*BIG NOISE*

"Bugger OFF!" Tomtom yells at Corey's garage, in which he's playing his guitar. Electric guitar, connected to amp which can be turned up.
You'd noticed.
Spider, walking beside her, chucks his empty Bacardi bottle at the garage door, where it shatters.
"Stupid bl**dy racket," Tomtom snarls. "Those stupid guitars are a bl**dy waste of space."
Never one to talk much, Spider simply grunts his agreement.
Tomtom has reached her car. No, she doesn't have a driver's liscence - no instructor is that stupid - but she can drive, an by some amazing act of Jesus she hasn't crashed it yet.
"I'll be back tomorrow," she promises Spider, and drives away - way over the speed limit, but hey, who cares? She doesn't even have a liscence, speeding isn't exactly the biggest problem.
Spider continues walking, until he reaches the corner shop. He slouches in, and grunts at the lady behind the till when she says Hi. He then begins to un-slyly stuff random things into the many pockets of his black and silver parka, but the woman doesn't notice as she's too busy stuffing her face with iron-bru bars and the likes from under the counter. He actually walks pointedly in front of her on his way out and practically waves a tin of beans in her face, but her attent's focused on a big wad of £5s in the till so she hasn't got a clue.
The streets of Las Vegas are getting dark, so the Casinos begin to light up. There are about nine casinos in Boxton Street, and Spider has the misfortune of living above one of them. One of the tacky boring ones that's full of smoke and fighting and men with skinheads and women with white faces and bright pink lipstick, not like the classy ones complete with cabaret and bar. Spider enters by the side door to avoid the noise.

mark yanks Shezza's t-shirt off. It might have hurt, but she barely notices. She is in a far-away place, taken there by the little white pills Mark has given her god knows how many hours ago. She has been through all this before, so she doesn't worry. She is simply happy, contented, here with Mark who had promised not to hurt her. Soon she has no idea what's going on...
Mark smiles to himself. Not one of the other girls are this easy... this one is ready for anything, no persuasion needed. Not like the others - one of which he is meeting the next day, behind Casino no.2. but Shezza can never know, because it might put her off him, and he needs someone as willing as this for whenever he's feeling a little bit bored...

Chee sits in the living room of Lawrence Opals, 27 Rosswood gardens, on one of her rare visits to her hubby Axe. She strokes the cream-coloures leather, smiling to herself as, once again, she sees it - and the rest of the gigantic house, belonging to her, sometime in the near future.
Her dreaming is interupted by Johnstone, the "butler", entering with a tray bearing a bottle of champagne, a pair of diamond stud earrings, and a stack of £100 notes.
"Mr Adam Cole sends his apologies," says Johnstone, "But he cannot currently attend. He will contact you as soon as he is free."
Chee doesn't really care. She just greedily eyes up the money, and snatches everything off the tray.
Now she can buy those shoes she's been after for so long.

EPISODE 2

Alison sits at the table, trying to pretend she is listening to the guy opposite her who is going on about some weird ritual he carries out which involves strangling chickens ever Sunday or something, and how he thinks this is perfectly normal and if anyone disrespects him for it then that's their problem. Finally the buzzer goes, and the guy stands up, looking rather dissapointed and saying, "I never got to hear much about you..." then moves to the next table.
Speed-dating can be great fun but people like THAT just shouldn't be ALLOWED - even on this PLANET let alone in the room.
She smiles at the boy now sitting in front of her. "Please tell me YOU don't routinely strangle chickens for the god of caniballism or anything."
"No," the boy laughs, "I just eat them. With my parents, for Saturday lunch."
"You live with your parents?"
"Yeah."
Oh god, you might as well just leave NOW.
Her eyes glazed over as he goes on to talk about his mother and how she works on a farm and sometimes lets him milk the cows (oh wow! I've always wanted to milk a cow!), and Alison spends the time trying to picture the perfect man in her head. Gorgeous, always important - especially the smile... funny... up for some fun, not someone who's looking for their future wife. That guy accross the road wasn't so bad, what's his name??? The one with the Guitar... Corey or something...
Why does he never come speed-dating? Admitedly, he probably has a girlfriend anyway (is it possible to be that hot AND be single???), but still...

Chee exits Monsoon with lots of bags. That top was just IRRESISTABLE, so pink and floaty...
She crosses the road and pulls out the keys to her purple Mercedes, unlocking it with the press of a button, happy when she notices people staring at her. She can't help TOTALLY suiting this red jacket, it just compliments her hair perfectly, and her new shoes will go SO well. She drops the bags into the boot of her car, and jumps in the driver's seat. There's still plenty money left to buy the food and go on another shopping trip, she won't need to visit Axe again in a hurray - which is SUCH a relief, because she doens't think much of his house. And making an hour long journey to pick up some money is just a waste of time, he could easily send it by post. But if making that trip means cash, then she's for it. Meanwhile, she should try out some speed-dating, lots of hot guys there who would sell their grannies to be with her. She smiles to herself. Life can be such a breeze.

Shezza sits in the corner of a smokey casino, watching a group of heavily drunk gangster-type men playing poker. She wants to be with Mark but he told her he was busy, so she's stuck here with nothing to do but watch smelly men break out into fights because someone pinched a card off someone else etc.
She eventually goes to the grubby little bar and orders a beer. The freaky man with the beard grunts and hands her a can that's already open. Eew. Shezza gulps it down anyway, and soon begins to feel a bit dizzy, so she goes outside to avoid the noise and smoke. When she gets out, she feels about in the pocket of her skirt and pulls out two ecstacy pills, which she swallows immediatly. Soon that beautiful feeling comes back to her, and she feels happy, as if she's on top of the world...
Look at her...
Looks up for anything...
Hey miss, how about a bit of fun?
Come on, you know you want to...
We'll take you back if you like...

EPISODE 3

Three men sit in a room in a flat. They are talking, laughing, smoking...
Shezza lies on a bed in the room next to them. She slowly wakes up, her hair all over her face, her clothes askew. She looks around, trying to put together some sort of puzzle in her mind, trying to remember what happened...
And then it hits her.
She remembers taking the drugs, she remembers going off with the men... then nothing. But she can guess what has happened.
She looks around for a way out, but can't see one anywhere, except for the window. She struggles off the bed and peers through the glass. Only two floors up, maybe she'll be okay.
She opens the window, slowly and quietly, continously looking back at the door in case anyone comes through. No one does. She then steps carefully out the window, not bothering to close it behind her, and jumps down.

"Hey, you wanna come play poker?"
Tomtom looks up at the speakers - a couple of girls with mini-skirts and heavy eye make-up, chewing gum, who remind her of Shezza - and shakes her head desolately.
"Aww, come on hunny, can't do any harm."
Tomtom glares and flips them, and they retreat, giving her funny looks and muttering stuff like "God, what's her problem?"
Tomtom sits back. Bored stiff but not bothered to do anything. Not the nicest of feelings.
Suddenly she sees the matches on the floor. Just under the table, perfectly reachable. Time for a bit of fun, I think...

Corey walks out the flat. The girl from accross the road, Alison, smiles at him. He's thrown off guard slightly - why would someone as high-maintenance as that smile at him - and before he can smile back, she's looked away.
Damn.
He walks off in the opposite direction to her - not deliberatley, just because that's the way to the music store. He wants to get a new guitar pick, to add to his collection of, like, one-hundred or something. All kept here and there in his room, never all visible at once.

sorry, couldn't think of any other way to end this episode, bit boring, but more exciting stuff to come...

Tomtom slyly bends down and snatches the box of matches (snatches the matches *laughs*). She then walks past the tables, to the back of the room where there is a glass of beer sitting on an empty table. She picks up the glass, and stares at it for a minute. Then, slowly, she tips it up, so that the beer trickles down onto the floor, and spreads slightly.
She lights the match, and watches the flame burn slowly down, eating up the wood, piece by piece...
And then she drops it.

There he is again.
Alison lookes over at Corey. Her chances with him are obviously not very large. The sight of her obviously didn't exactly make his day when she smiled at him.
Bu then he turns round, and sees her, and smiles at her this time. What a nice smile it is too...
He hesitates, and then waves slightly. Alison smiles back.
Now's your chance...
Her heart beating slightly, she crosses the narrow little road and walks over to him.
"Hi," she says shakily, and holds out her hand. "I'm Alison."
She suddenly feels really stupid, but he takes her hand. "I know," he says, smiling. "I'm Corey."
"I knew that too." Alison's face flares. What a gay conversation. God, this is stupid. Here she is talking to the guy who she's had her eye on for days now, and she's making a complete fool of herself.
But he looks her in the eye and says, "How about I meet you tonight, in there?" He jerks his thumb towards the Casino next to him. "At nine. I could find out some stuff about you I didn't know."
Alison laughs. "Yeah, sure. Nine it is, then."
She turns and walks away. Even the total gayness of that last line failed to bring her sprits down."

Corey sits in his garage, feeling well pleased with himself. So pleased, he could write a new song. He picks up his guitar, and plays a couple of chords.
I wonder if Alison likes guitar...
Would she think he was a loser if he told her that he spent all day playing in his garage? Would she lose interest?
Stop worrying so much!
"Hey, what's up?"
Corey whips his head round, to see his older sister Nancy standing in the garage doorway.
"Just, I dunno..."
"Playing the guitar?" You guessed.
"Yeah, pretty much." He pauses for a moment, then asks, "Do girls like the guitar?"
Nancy looks confused for a moment, then smiles. "You've met someone, haven't you?"
Corey sighs. "I'm meeting her tonight, but I don't know what I'm supposed to do."
"How should I know? I never dated a boy in my whole life. Except Harry - and that's exactly why. Just be yourself. I'm sure she'll appreciate it."

The floor is suddenly alight. It takes a few seconds for everyone to take in what's going on.
And then all hell breaks loose.
As everyone screams and runs for the door, the fire spreads. It seems that the cleaner simply forgot to mop up all the alcohol that was spilled there previously.
It suddenly hits Tomtom that she's done something very wrong. She tries to get to the door, but the fire has got there first. Everyone else managed to escape, but she's stuck in there. Unable to get out, unless...



The casino doesn't have windows.

EPISODE 5

It's Spider who sees the fire. All the others have run away, planning to phone the fire brigade when they arrive home.
Spider reaches into his pocket for his mobile phone, and dials for the fire brigade.
"Hmm? Yeah, there's a fire. Casino no. 7. Boxton Street." (not much of a talker, as you can see.)
As soon as he's put the phone back, he hears a scream, coming from inside.
Oh *******. Someone's in there.
He runs towards the door and opens it. Suddenly the fire flares up even further. The screaming continues."
"Who...*cough*...who's in here?"
The screaming stops. "...Spider???"
"Oh my god! TOMTOM!"
Spider begins to make his way through the fire. A flame catches his sleeve, and he hurridly blows it out.
"Spider? Spider???" Tomtom starts coughing. Spider looks frantically around the room, his eyes watering with the heat. "TOMTOM??? Tomtom where are you???"

Shezza rushes into the grimy little squat, and over to Mark. He looks up at her, and her twisted clothes. "Hey babe, what happened?"
Tears stream dow Shezza's cheeks. "I was... I... Oh god, Mark, I think I was raped."
"What?!" Mark stares up at her for a moment, then his face slips into a slightly menacing smile. "Come with me, Shezza. I'll make everything okay again."
She falls to the floor and sobs, at the same time holding out her hand, so used to what she's about to do that it comes naturally. Mark hands her the pills, and she swallows them hurridly. He smiles, and takes her wrist, pulling her up to standing, and leads her away...

Chee drives back from Axe's in her purple Mercedes, continuously glancing at the stack of cash on the windscreen (obviously not the outside of the winscreen). She's got a little bit extra this time, plenty to spend... maybe a drink in the Casino...
She looks out the window.
And sees the fire.
The breaks squeak as she pulls her car to a halt. She jumps out the car, hands over her mouth, and is about to reach for her mobile when she hears the sirens.

Tomtom's coughing stops.
Oh my god...
Spider sees her lying on the floor, her sleeve alight. He brushes away the massive flames and picks her up. She's limp and motionless. Spider looks around, but there doesn't seem to be any way out without burning her. He blows helplessly at her sleeve, making next-to no difference to the flames burning on her arm.
He looks around frantically, but they're surrounded by fire. There's no way out without going through the fire, and with Tomtom in his arms, Spider can't risk it...

Alison peers round the corner, and only just manages to stop herself from screaming. One of the Casinos is alight. The first thought that jumps to her mind is Corey... but then she remembers that she was meeting him in the one accross the road from that. Phew. But still...
She sees someone standing outside, that girl with all the money and the purple car... at the same time, she hears the fire engine racing up behind her, it's sirens blaring out...

Water and foam is being squirted over the flames. Spider sees the firemen behind the fire, he's shocked, suddenly remembering that he phoned the fire brigade.
But he suddenly feels dizzy, and starts coughing again... he can barely breathe... he can feel Tomtom being taken from him, and he tries to hold on to her, never wanting to let go... but he hasn't got the strength any more, and falls back.


.~.x.~.

Chee gasps as one fireman exits the building, carrying Tomtom in his arms... is she dead? No, she can't be... they're taking her to an ambulance partly hidden behind the fire engines...
Alison watches too. Suddenly she hears Corey behind her, shouting to her "What's going on?" (well duh theres a fire) and running over to the scene. She's about to turn round to him, when another fireman comes out, this time carrying Spider's body.
"Ohmigod!!!" Chee screams. "Is he dead???"
"I... I don't think so," Corey remarks, staring in shock at the burning building. A fireman comes out a minute later, stating that there are no others inside except for his own men (who are putting out the fire -_- ).
The ambulance drives away, and Corey, Alison and Chee stare after it, wondering what will happen to the people inside.

EPISODE 6

Spider's eyes open. There's a faint beeping coming from somewhere, and he can feel tubes running over his face. Everything seems so distant...

Alison and Corey walk down the road. Their hands occasionally brush each other. Corey glances nervously at Alison. While she's chatting away about almost everything, he's still reeling from the fire incident the previous day.
Maybe it's a bad sign...
I really want this to work out...
Was the fire, like, a warning?
He suddenly realises that Alison is looking at him in a weird way.
"You okay?" she asks. Pause. "Is it the fire?"
Corey goes slightly red and nods. She sighs. "It was worrying. That girl used to go to school with me - and hey, we were never best friends, but we were okay. And the guy too. They stuck to each other like glue, them and Shezza. They never speak to her much now, though. At all. She probably hasn't even heard that they're in hospital yet." Alison sighs again. "I heard they would be all right though."
"That's a relief," Corey agrees, but inside he knows that's not the real reason why the fire's bothering him. True, it was horrible - those poor people could have died - but now they would be fine, he was starting to think that maybe the fire had something to do with him (how'd he work that one out?). Maybe it meant that something bad was going to happen...

Shezza is about to leave the house when her mum calls down to her: "Shezza! Wait!"
She turns round, frowning slightly, to see her mum running down the stairs holding the phone. "Shezza, hold on a minute." She looks really worried. "It's... it's Tomtom. There was an accident... a fire... she's in the hospital..."
Shezza's eyes widen. She's barely spoken to Tomtom in ages, but now it like... like she should have been there for her. Which she should.
She races for the door, not bothering to pull on a jacket, so attracts a bit of attention in the streets wearing nothing but a black mini dress (surprisingly, this is seen as unusual in Las Vegas :rotfl: ). But she doesn't care.


.~.x.~.

Spider sits up in his hospital bed, and looks over at Tomtom. She also has tubes all over her face, lacing in and out of her long hair, some going up her nose. She's not awake. The nurse told him that she wouldn't be awake for a while.
But she'll live. That alone is enough to make him breathe a sigh of relief, even though it hurts his chest slightly. Tomtom's okay. Well, maybe not okay, but she will be in time. To think what could have happened...
Maybe not such a good idea.
A lot of shouting can be heard from outside, and suddenly Shezza bursts in, with a nurse following her, insisting that it's "not such a good idea."
"They're not even in intensive care!" Shezza rages. "They almost died, for God's sake!"
"They have all the equipment and medicine they need in here," the nurse snaps, "Now please KEEP IT DOWN."
Shezza sees that Spider's awake, and runs over to his bed. "Spider??? Are you okay???"
He manages a smile. "What do you think?"
"God, I haven't seen you in ages. Think is all the time we used to spend together at school, then everything just..." tears spring to her eyes as she remembers. "I..."
"You what?"
"Never mind. My problems are nothing compared to this."
"Look," Spider says horsely, "I'll be fine. You look well upset, what wrong?"
Shezza glances at the nurse, who's glaring at her patronizingly, and whispers to Spider, "I was... I was raped."
Spider gasps, and immediately grabs his chest, his teeth clenching.
"DO NOT UPSET THE PATIENTS!" the nurse storms, and grabs Shezza by the arm, dragging her out of the hospital.

EPISODE 7

Chee stares over at Alison and Corey as they walk accross the road. They catch her looking and both smile at her. She smiles back.
That lucky little snitch. Chee's smile passes Alison by and focuses on Corey.
How gorgeous is he? What's he even doing with that girl??? She's not even all that pretty. He could have someone like ME. She glares at Alison's back as they both enter a bar, but the annoyance doesn't last long. She's already fashioning an image in her mind, of her and Corey, both of them together, no Alison, no Axe, just her and Corey...
Chee's manipulating little brain begins to formulate a plan. She could get her hands on him any time she wants, why rush? She could make friends with that girl, get to know her, gain her trust. And then, when both of them are least expecting it... she could dig her claws in and destroy whatever feelings they had for each other.
She smiles slyly to herself, and turns towards the bar, making her way down the road.

Tomtom's eyes slowly prise themselves open.
Where the hell am I?
She hears voices, a shout, then someone saying "Get her back now!" angrily, in a hoarse voice. She turns her head, and sees that she is in a hospital. And then she sees Spider in a bed next to hers. She blinks heavily, and everything comes into better focus.
"Spi..."
Spider's head whips round. He is clutching his chest and his face is contorted, but he manages to come out with a "Tomtom! You... you're awake." A nurse rushes over to him and pushs him down. "Lie down! lie down before you kill yourself you stupid boy," she nags. "She's gone now, and after all that I doubt if she'll be coming back in again." She turns and sees Tomom awake. "Oh, you've come to dear. You're lucky, you just missed a pretty load of hustle and bustle. How are you feeling?"
Tomtom begins to shake her head, but it hurts so she stops. "Just...peachy, thanks...what do you think?" she rasps sarcastically. Spider smiles. Yup, she's definately fine.
Tomtom looks over at Spider's bed. "Spider...what happened?"
"I tried to get you out of the fire," Spider says. "I didn't quite pull it off, though, and they came in to get us." He pauses. "Tomtom, do you know how it started?"
"What?"
"The fire. How did it start?"

EPISODE 8

Alison and Corey are talking at the bar, when they turn and see Chee entering. She looks around, sees them, smiles and comes over.
She flashes a smile at them. "Hi there," she says, "You're...Corey, right? And..."
"Alison." Alison holds out her hand, and Chee takes it unflinchingly. "So, you two are together now, huh?"
"Yeah," Corey puts his arm round Alison and squeezes her. She giggles. Chee tries to contain herself.
Stupid little bitch. She makes me want to puke. Ah well, if I just manage to hold it in for a while then everything should be perfect... She'll be gone... and he'll be mine!
"So... can I buy the happy new couple a drink?"

Shezza runs into the squat to find Mark. As she races through the door, she bumps into a girl. The girl is quite like Shezza, with lots of dark make-up, and bright pink fishnets under a black dress - apart from her hair, which is jet black. She has a dazed look in her eyes.
Shezza pays little attention to her, and pushes past. Mark is sitting in a corner, a newly lit fag in his mouth. He looks surprised to see Shezza. Maybe even a little dissapointed...
"What d'you want, then?"
"No need to sound so annoyed," Shezza mumbles. "For your information my friend nearly died in a fire at a casino, and i thought you might be able to cheer me up a bit." She smiles saucily, and sits down on his lap. He sighs resignedly, and takes the fag out of his mouth.

She seems quite friendly.
Alison looks at Chee as she laughs and chats to her and Corey. Maybe a bit odd, the way she keeps pausing slightly before saying something, but nice enough.
Corey looks at his watch. "Dammit, I have to go now. Nancy wants me to help out with some stuff at home. I'll come round for you tomorrow." He winks at Alison, and gets up and leaves. This leaves her and Chee.
Chee turns to her. "You're a lucky girl, you," she states, "Free. Liberated. Me? I went and got myself married, didn't I? No more fun, no more one-night stands, just a happy life with with a happy husband."
Phase one of the mega plan put into action. Now that Alison knows she's married, she won't suspect a thing. Perfect.

Note - could I just apologise for the chee/axe engaged/married confusion. i've now edited all posts to say that they are married. sorry!

"You'll be staying in here for another week until you can go," the nurse tells Spider. Then she turns to Tomtom. "Unfortunately, you'll be another two weeks. More damage has been done to your-"
"Oh god, please don't give me all this scientific *******, or my head'll be so *******ing sore I'll be in here for a month."
Spider smiles. But he's still worried. Tomom told him that she didn't know what caused the fire, but it had almost killed her so he wants to find the culprit. But if he can't get out for another week, he's not sure where to start...

Johnstone comes downstairs with the usual stack of cash, plus a box of truffles and a bottle of champagne, laid out on a silver tray.
"Mr Cole sends-"
"Yeah yeah, his apologies, I know," Chee snaps. She tries to disguise her glee at recieving more money by huffing, "Useless husband. It's all because of the surname, isn't it? I didn't keep the surname, so he treats me like this."
Johnstone sighs understandingly, and Chee makes off with the champ and the money, imagining her and Corey drinking it together... she oucld use the money to get a(nother) new outfit, he might like it. And Alison. She could comment on one of Alison's outfits, adds to the firendly attitude.
It is hard, trying to be nice to and get on with Alison, but hey - it's worth it if she gets closer to Corey. Close enough to be trusted by them, so that when the time came, she could plunge into action...

Shezza looks up at the hospital. She wants to go in and see Tomtom, talk to her, talk to Spider... but she knows there's not really much point in trying to get any further than the front desk after her last visit. Security would probably have their own Shezza the bringer of riot file to recognize her... Okay, so maybe not, but still...
She turns and walks away. Her night with Mark had been a lot more boring than usual, like he'd got bored of her all of a sudden, because he had seemed pretty distant, pushed her away earlier than usual...
Shezza gazes into the sky. Not many clouds, but the ones that were there were white and fluffy, moving fast as the cold wind pushes them.
That girl... the one at Mark's place...
But, she thinks, she probably just got the wrong place. Or maybe she even lives there, it's not as if Mark's the only one...

Two girls walking down the street, the picture of friendship...
Alison looks sideways at Chee, wondering, "why the sudden close attachment? I've known her for - what - about three days?" But no harm done really, Chee seems really nice to her, it's just a bit odd...
"Hey, wait up!" Alison turns round, and sees Corey running up behind them. "Hey," she says, "I thought you were staying at your mates house."
"He's got flu," says Corey, "And I know I'm a pretty crap friend and should be fetching him his TV or something but hey!" He smiles his attractive smile and takes Alison's hand.
Chee looks on, fighting the urge to shove Alison away and take Corey's hand in her own, managing only to stop herself with angry murmers of "Someday soon, not much longer..."
"What's that?"
Huh? Chee looks at Alison. "Nothing," she says brightly, flashing her pearly white teeth underneath her glittering red lipstick. "So anyway, where was I..."

Mark hears someone coming through the door. He looks up, and sees a girl with raven black hair and a Guns-n-Roses t-shirt coming towards him. He smiles.
"Hey Hilary."
The girl smiles saucily at him. "You have no idea what a bl**dy bitch my day has been today. Seriously, my boyfriend was giving me a load of old ******* about how his soccer team's doing, and how his team totally lost the game on Friday. I could have slapped him, seriously." She pauses. "I'm glad you're here."
"Yeah." Mark smiles. "So, you coming then?"
"God, as if I would actually wait any longer!" She bats her eyes and, with her fingers hooked into her back pocket, makes her way over to him.

The nurse stuffs Spider's clothes into a suitcase.
"I want to stay with my friend," Spider mumbles grumpily. Tomtom smiles.
He's certainly back to his old self again. Quiet, stubborn...
"Well I'm sorry, but you are now fit enough to go! This bed could be used for plenty more people who need it much more than you!" The nurse snapps. "Now come on! These people need rest!"
Spider glances at Tomtom. She shakes her head. "Just go," she sighs, smiling.
I want him to stay, but that stupid bitch won't take no for an answer.
Spider hesitates, then whisperes, "Bye then. I'll see you in a week."
Tomtom turns away. "Yeah," she says quietly. Dreading the moment when he'll find out the true cause of the fire.

The wind blows dust up in Alison's face. It stings her eyes. She furiously rubbs them, making little difference. A heavy gust scratches her face.
She runs into the nearest casino - a grubby, low quality one, with dirty windows and sleazey people.
Alison scrapes the dust from her eyes, and glares out the door. Why were the roads so horribly dusty today? Why couldn't it be raining or something?
She hears the door opening behind her, and someone taps her on the shoulder. She turns round, hoping to see Corey, but it's Chee.
"Hiya!" Chee chirrups. "I saw you coming in. Didn't think you liked these sort of places!"
"I don't," Alison says, "But the dust was going everywhere, my eyes were getting sore."
Oh yeah, poor little you.
"Ah well, my car's outside. Want a lift to... wherever you're going?"
Alison hesitates. She had been hoping to see Corey. "...Yeah, go on then. It'll only take five minutes."

Alison sees Chee looking at her, and smiles unsurely. "What?"
Chee laughs. "Oh, nothing. I was just thinking how pretty you are. But you probably could try something else with your hair. I mean, it looks lovely how it is, but you always wear it like that. You could try experimenting or something. Say, you wanna come back to my place? I'll give you the works. We could go shopping and everything, whadda you say?"
Alison pauses. "Er... okay then. Where abouts do you live?"
"About fifteen minutes away. I'm not local, but I come here all the time, y'know? I just love it here! Everyone's so nice!"
Er, this is Las Vegas, woman
"Okay then," Alison says, brightening. "i'll come back with you.
Chee smiles slyly. I have this girl in my back pocket now.

Tomtom gazes up at the hospital ceiling. There wasn't much to see - even when it was light, her view would be pale blue with a few scratches. How boring.
She wants Spider. Usually, right now, she would be leining accross to his bed, and they would talk - talk about things that Spider would usually totally shut up about, like how was his mother, how was he coping with her, etc. But then that stupid nurse had to basically throw him out... and now she's alone. Alone except for a wheezy middle-aged woman with a bandage around her leg and something to do with smoke inhailation.
Just like me...
Her heart beats faster. She still has just under a week left in the hospital. How boring boring boring.

Shezza looks quickly around her, then returns to rummaging around in some randomer's make-up bag. She had the most lovely nail varnish, dark red, black, purple...
She swiftly grabbs the black and red ones and dropps them into the pocket of her skirt. She then stands up abruptly and walks out of the casino, hoping that no one had seen her.
She seems to have got away lucky. No one followed. She smiles to herself and made her way down the road, towards Mike's squat.

Okay, so I've been thinking, and Emmie is the ONLY ONE WHO READS THIS!!! (Thanks by the way hunni *hugz* http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/937/peaz6yb.gif lol :p ) so I thought I'd start it off in a new thread, give it a spoiler thread, and a character page, give all the characters matching celebrities like Bry and bakedbean (with dollies too though :D ) and, most importantly,
:cheer: INTRODUCE A MASS OF NEW CHARACTERS :cheer:

Most of the new characters will appear in series two, but a couple of them will turn up near the end of series one, including Tomtom's little sister Riley, and knight-in-shining-armour (not telling you why yet) Logan. New series characters will include moneybags Brandon, with two cash-hungry woman fighting over him, and Irish ladies' man Seamus and his American clone Aaron. Plus plenty more...

Each character will have a new celebrity face, like in Devon Seas and Exeter, with Lindsay Lohan as Shezza and :heart: Richard Fleeshman :heart: as Corey. Dunno if these are particularly good choices, but what the hell...


These changes will cause logner episodes, and more drama. Enjoy, and be blinded by the LIGHTS!!!!

Spider glares at the bell above the door of the corner shop as he enters. The fat girl at the counter looks briefly at him, smiles, then goes back to munching a chocolate bar.
Spider then carries out the regular routine of stuffing tins of beans and packets of crisps into the pockets of his parka. As he reaches for a Bacardi Breezer, the girl at the counter peers round the shelf.
Why does he come in just about every day, and never buy anything?
She sees him slipping the bacardi into one of his massive pockets, and her eyes narrow suspiciously. As he moves into the dairy section, she takes the shop's telephone and makes a descreet call...
Pockets bulging, Spider walks towards the door of the shop. The girl looks up quickly. She decided to have one stab at stopping him herself. "Hey," she says.
He turns round, his dark eyes glaring into hers like lasers from under his hood. The words die in her mouth. She smiles emotionlessly, and squeaks, "Eh... bye then!"
He turns and walks out the shop. Outside, he is greeted by the sound of police sirens, and an officer getting out of a police car.
Oh sh*t
Spider turns to run, but someone grabs his shoulder, and a deep voice says in a Scottish accent, "You're coming with us, sonny."

Spider sits angrily in an uncomfortable chair, two police officers at a desk before him. One leans forward. "Why did you do it?"
Spider grunts something undistinctable.
"What was that boy?"
"Forgot my money," Spider murmurs, and shrugs.
"Why didn't you go back and get it?"
Grunt.
"Hmmm? Couldn't have been that hard?"
Grunt.
"ANSWER ME BOY!"
Spider glares into the officers eyes, then mumbles, "We don't have any money."
"What was that?"
Spider looks shocked with himself. "We... er... like I said, I forgot my money."
"Hmmm..." the officer frowns.
The second officer turns to him. "He's only just reached adulthood Alen. We sould let him off. Just this once."
Silence.
"I don't know... well... oh, fine then. But SWEAR you won't do it again, you hear me?"
Spider nods hurridly. "Yeah, definately!"
The officer sighs. "All right, but you are being cautioned!"
But Spider's already out the door.

Corey looks accross the street, and sees a familiar figure stepping out of a car.
Oh look, it's Chee...
He lifts his hand to wave, and then sees someone stepping out the car after her.
Ailson.
But she's changed. Her cute hair curled, but not in a tight springy way - in a thick, gorgeous way, with added purple streaks. Her lashes long, her top floaty, her shoes sparkling.
She catches his gawping, and waves, flashing a smile through her pink glossy lips. Then rushes over to him.
He stares at her. She smiles back.
"You look..."
"Nice?" Chee looks pretty pleased with herself.
Corey kisses Alison. He catches a glimpse of Chee from the corner of his eyes, but mistakes her dirty look for annoyance that he's smeared Alison's lipstick.

"Is something wrong? You're not swearing enough!"
Tomtom bites her lip. "Oh, er, yeah that git it the shop is a darned old bitch."
Spider smirks. "Yeah yeah, nice try. So what's up with you?"
Should I tell him?
"Spider... the, the fire..."
"What about it? Tomtom? Hey, you're crying! Look, everything's fine now!"
"NO IT'S NOT! It was me Spider! I STARTED IT!"
"Started what?"
"THE EFFING FIRE FOR GOD'S SAKE!"

"So how the hell do you get in here?"

Chee drops her voice. "You're only sixteen! It's illegal!"
"This is Las Vegas honey. They don't care. Well, they don't actually notice, but they certainly don't bother checking it out!"
Chee laughs.
Stupid little bitch. Thinks she's so funny.
"So hows stuff with Corey?"
Alison bites her lip. She leans forward. "Chee... I think... I think I love him."
Uh! Love him my ass. You've only known the foxy git for a few weeks!
Chee smiles falsely. "Really? That's great! Cause it certainly looks like he feels the same."

Tomtom holds her mobile to her ear, her hand shaking slightly.
Come on, pick up, pick UP...
She sighs anxiously as the phone continues to ring, one thought continuously pulsing round her mind.

What now?

She couldn't bear to recall the moment she told Spider about the fire. He had stood there for a moment, his face expressionless, until she had said, "Spider, please, say something."
He had turned and walked away. She hadn't bothered going after him. No matter how much she wanted to, she had known there would be no point. He would never listen.
Tears spring to her eyes at the thought. She had put his life in danger, but only now has she realised quite how serious that had been. And she couldn't be feeling any worse.

"Hey! Wait up!"
Corey turns round. Chee is running up to him.
He grins. "Not got any gorgeous strangers with you today then?"
"Would have thought I was good enough!" Chee laughs. "No, Alison phoned me. She's away swimming or something. Trying to lose weight."
Corey frowns slightly. Alison had never seemed concerned about her figure around him. He'd admired her for that, too. Ahh well, love always comes at a price.
Love...
And that's what it is. As he walks alongside Chee, only half-listening to what she's saying, he realises that that's what he feels for Alison. Love. Suddenly it's not just a casual couple having a laugh. Well, that is what they do, but Corey suddenly realises that he wants more. Much more.
"Hey, you alright?" Chee looks at him. Sideways, he notices. Alison always looks up at him, but Chee's tall figure means that she's looking at him straight on. Eye to eye.
And suddenly, he sees it. Behind the glossy smile, that never quite reaches her eyes. The coldness within them. Something hard and evil, yet greedy and fiery.
Something bad.
"Corey!"
He blinks. The rest of Chee comes into focus. Her face is once again dominated by her sparkly pink smile.
"Yeah, er... You want to go... get a drink or something?"

Shezza grabs a red lipstick off the shelf. She's got the whole day to herself, so thinks's she'll pay Mark a surprise visit in the evening and get some stuff to glam herself up for it during the day. She doesn't have clothes on her mind though - there won't be much need for them, as she won't exactly be wearing them very much (!), but make-up, underwear, and stuff like that.
She glances around, then pockets the lipstick, and makes her way over to the underwear section.

A dismall Tomtom walks accross the road, and sees Spider coming out of a casino ahead of her.
"Spider!"
He glances over at her, then turns in the other direction and walks away.
She chases after him. "Spider! Wait!"
She catches up and spins him round. He frowns. "Get off me Tammy."
"Since when did you call me Tammy?"
"Since when did you go about trying to kill people?"
She bites her lip. "I wasn't going to kill anyone! Or at least, I wasn't trying to. I just... I was..."
"You were what?"
"I... I was bored, okay? But I didn't think -"
"Too damn right you didn't!" he glares at her. "You're just a stupid child. Do yourself a favour and play with your Barbie dolls instead of your matches."
She looks stung. Spider ignores this and adds, "Oh, and do me a favour and leave me alone." He walks off. Tomtom gazes after him. "Spider -" he lifts a hand, and continues walking. She turns away, tears in her eyes.

Alison looks around, standing at the door of a pub, waiting for Corey. She hears hurried breathing behind her, and turns to see him bent over.
"You alright?"
"Yeah, I was running. Sorry I'm late."
Alison looks down at her watch. "Oh, yeah, so you are."
Corey laughs. "We going in or what?"
As she enters the pub, he looks worriedly around him. His last encounter with Chee had been pretty odd, and as she has a habit of always turning up where he and Alison are, he couldn't help but wonder if she was watching them, or following them... he had seen the look in her eyes. It hadn't been the Chee he knew at all. It had been someone else... Someone bad.
Alison pokes her hear round the door. "You coming then?"
"Yeah, I was just..." he smiles. "Never mind, eh?"

The damp walls of the squat didn't usually bother Shezza, but now she steers away from them in disgust. Mark won't think very much of her if she's all dirty. She smoothes down the front of her black minidress, determined to impress Mark as much as she can.

Alison and Corey walk back from the pub, hand-in-hand, deep in conversation. And who sees them from accross the road? Go on, take a guess. Bet you'll never get it.

Wow, never saw that one coming.
She shouts over to them. "Hey!"
Corey looks over. "Does she have to be with us all the time?" he asks Alison.
"Why? What's wrong with her?"
"Nothing. She just..."
"She just what?"
Chee bounces up to them, sporting new blonde highlights in her dark hair. "Hi there!"
Corey glances at Alison, and shakes his head. "I'll tell you later," he mumbles.

Shezza finds her way through the now annoyingly dark squat.
Where is he???
She looks around her. It's empty...
Except for one small door.
She walks slowly towards he door, her hand outstretched, reaching for the battered door knob...

Shezza stares down at Mark.
And the raven-haired girl who looks like she's eating his face off.
It takes a moment or two for them to realise she's there, but soon they're both looking up into her shocked face.
After a moment, she turns and marches away.
The girl turns to Mark. "Was that one of the others?"
Mark sighs. "Yup. She's the best one too..." The girl looks offended. "Fine then, have it your way." She gets up and stalks over to the other side of the room. "Please go."
Mark glares at her. "Hey, I live here!"
"So? Go chase after your precious girlfriend."
He blinks. "But I'm with you now!"
"You obviously find her more entertaining."
"Well, yeah, but..."

Shezza stops at the entrance. It suddenly occurs to her that there's no one following her, no footsteps rushing after her, no Mark apologising or trying to explain his actions...
She waits for a moment. Then she hears someone coming after her.
Finally!
Firing herself up, she turns to the door...
Only to find the other girl rushing past her angrily.
What is he up to?

Mark sits in the squat, chewing it bottom lip.
Whoops.
One thing was for sure - Shezza wouldn't be coming back any time soon.
Well, she wouldn't be coming back willingly, anyway...
His eyes darken. He suddenly knows exactly what to do.

Smiling slyly to herself, Chee rings Alison's doorbell, then steps back and waits.
When Alison's mum opens the door, Chee immediatly puts on her worried act, and bites her lip. "Is Alison in?" she asks, "I need to talk to her. It's kinda important."
Alison's mum nods. "She's upstairs in her room. Second on the right."
Chee pushes past, trying to seem in a hurry. She rushes up the staircase, allowing a cunning smile to pass over her face, before reaching Alison's room and knocking.
"Yeah?"
She lets herself in. Alison is stretched out on the bed in her khaki shorts and blue vest, looking through some CDs. She looks up as Chee enters.
"Oh, hi. What's up?"
Chee looks down at her CDs, trying to come over all concerned. "What you got there?"
"Black Eyed Peas, Rhianna and Kelly Clarkson," Alison reads out, flipping through them. "But you look pretty worried. What's up?"
Chee sighs heavily. "It's... it's Corey."
Alison looks up. "What about him?"
"He..." Chee tries to keep her face straight. "I saw him... with some of his friends... they were..."
"They were what?"
"...Smoking."
"SMOKING?"
"Weed."
Alison stares. "No," she says slowly, "You must have seen wrong. Why would he be smoking weed?"
"I... I don't know." Chee tries to look concerned. "Maybe I shouldn't have said..."
"No... no it's fine... Are you sure?"
"Certain."
"Did he see you?"
"He... he didn't. I think one of his friends did. Maybe he told him."
"Right."
Chee sees the look on Alison's face, and bites her lip to stop herself from smiling.
This looks as if it will turn out perfectly.

Episode 22

Tomtom stands in front of a grubby building on the corner of Boxton Street, and the dirty sign beside it - on which the words "Casino Casino" are barely visible. One of the grubbiest, sleaziest places in the area.
She is dressed unusually compared to her usual scruffy tomboy combination - a tight white t-shirt and skinny black jeans, both stolen from her younger sister Riley's wardrobe. And her intentions... well...
As she reaches out to push open the door, someone shoves it from inside and comes tumbling out. It's a man, about 50 years old, beer all down his top. he leers at her for a moment, the turns and wonders off, grunting.
She stares after him, wondering if she was really doing the right thing.

Corey sits at a table in the pub, laughing with his mates. Suddenly the door bangs open. Everyone turns round too see Alison standing in the doorway, looking stressed out - and pretty pissed off too. She sees Corey and flares up, her eyes flashing. She marches over to him.
Oh crap, I haven't forgotten anything, have I?
Corey bites his lip and tries to remember if he was meeting her. Coming to the conclusion that he wasn't, he stands with a pretty confused look on his face as Alison approaches him. "Wh... What's wrong?"
"YOU!" Alison barks, "YOU ARE WHAT'S WRONG!" She sticks her hands in his pockets and starts rummaging around in them. He backs away. "Hey! What the hell -"
"Where is it?!" Alison demands.
"Where's what?"
"STOP TRYING TO ACT LIKE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!" She screams, "YOU AND YOUR LITTLE PALS HERE HAVE BEEN SMOKING!"
What the hell...?!!?
"...Smoking?"
"Weed." Alison spits out the word hissingly.
"I... Are you joking?"
"Do I look like I'm joking?"
"Well... I mean..." he starts to laugh, "Why should you think I've been smoking weed?"
"IT'S NOT FUNNY!" Alison shrieks, slamming the first glass she can find so hard on the table that it smashes. One of Corey's friends shouts, "Oi! that was mine!"
"Look Alison," Corey says simply, "I dunno where the hell you got that from, but I haven't -"
"Stop lying to me! You HAVE!"
Corey starts getting annoyed. "Alison, I have not been smoking, been around anyone who was smoking, nor ever smoked in my life. So give it a rest, yeah?"
"NO I WILL NOT!"
"Alison! I have NOT been smoking weed - in fact I haven't been smoking anything so SHUT THE HELL UP!"
Alison stands there visibly fuming. the whole pub is staring at the two of them. "Fine," she grunts, "You want to lie to me? be that way." She storms out.

Episode 23 out tomorrow. And I know what I'm talking about now. I've written it already!!! :D:D:D

"Right little ball of fire you've got there mate," Corey's friend says to him. Corey breaths heavily through his nose, not saying anything.
"You ain't been smoking, have you?"
"No I haven't," Corey hisses through his teeth. He suddenly turns on them. "If any of you has, the I will k-"
"We haven't been smoking anything either."
Corey downs a can of beer in about five seconds. "Right. Well." he grabs another one.

Tomtom is also gulping drinks. They are staring to make her feel a lot better.
Some old guys are leering at her. Someone whistles. Another shouts "Hey girlie. You gonna give us a table dance or what?"
Without thinking, Tomtom pushes herself up onto the table. The men clap. "Whoo, check this out."
A greasy man at the jukebox slots in some coins, and turns up the volume. The casino is filled with loud hip hop music.
Tomtom drunkenly shakes her booty to the sound. One man hands her a grimy glass of beer. She drinks half of it, and pours the rest down her top. The men whistle and cheer loudly.
Tomtom reaches down to the bottom of her t-shirt, grabs it, and begins to pull it over her head.

Spider knocks on Tomtom's front door. He had been thinking over their situation. maybe if he just sat and talked to Tomtom, he could understand properly why she had started that fire, almost killed the two of them... Maybe it had been a stupid mistake after all...
A young, pretty girl answers the door. She is about 15. Her long brown hair is tied in a side ponytail, secured with a pink flower. "Hey Spider."
"Hey Riley. Your sister in?"
Riley frowns. "I haven't seen that stupid git all day. Thought she'd be with you."
"Well... I haven't seen her for a bit. Tell her I stopped by when she gets back, yeah?"
"Sure. Bye." Riley closes the door.

Corey steps out the pub. His friends all left a while ago. He is very drunk.
A car pulls up beside him. "Hey, you want a ride?"
He looks down, making out the blurry figure of Chee in a floaty orange and yellow top. He mutters something in drunk English.
"I'll take that as a yes." Chee opens the door and pulls him into the car. He slumps in the seat.
"What's wrong?"
"Alison... stupid... I haven't been smoking."
Chee smiles to herself. "Course you haven't. Come back to my place and get a drink." She pushes down on the pedal, and they speed off down the road.

Episode 24

Supporting Corey with his arm over her shoulder, Chee unlocks the door to her appartment. "Come on then. Glass of water for you, I think." She drops him on the sofa, where he groans loudly.
On the way through to the kitchen, she lets a huge smile take over her face. She's pretty much done it. All she needs to do now is give him a glass of water, get him to let off steam, add her thoughts of Alison wrongly accusing him, and then everything should just... click.

Spider wonders past the grimy "Casino Casino". He hears lots of shouting inside.
Someone's having fun...
Feeling he needs a bit of cheering up, he pushes open the door and walks in.

Alison sits on her bed, her cell phone heald up to her ear.
The answerphone comes on. It's Corey's sister Nancy's voice. "Sorry, none of the Jacksons are here at the moment... either that or we just can't be bothered coming to the phone. Just leave your message after the loud -"
The phone clicks, and Nancy's real voice says "Hello?"
"Hi, it's Alison. Is Corey in?"
"No, he's probably at a friends or something. You want me to tell him anything?"
"No... no it's fine."
"Alright then, bye." Nancy cuts off the connection. Alison sighs. Okay, so maybe Corey hadn't been taking anything. But as she snaps her phone shut, two questions enter her mind - what the hell was Chee talking about... and what the hell was she supposed to say to her boyfriend?

Spider stares up at the table in shock.
That stupid little...
Tomtom is dancing around on the table, her top tied round her waist and her bra threatening to slip down off her shoulders.
Dirty men with shaved heads and beer bellies leer up at her as she pours lagar over her head, drenching her hair.
"You're bra's coming off girlie," one of the men roars, "Why don't you save it the trouble?"
Tomtom smiles, and reaches round to her back.
Spider pushes forward through the crowd of men. "Tomtom, STOP IT!"
She doesn't hear him. Her underwear falls onto the table.
Spider's eyes flash angrily.
Fine then. If she wants to be like that...
He turns back and storms out of the Casino.

Chee sits down next to Corey, shoving the glass of water into his hand. "So, you want to tell me what's going on?"
As if I didn't already know
Corey mumbles something about Alison being stupid again.
"Well," says Chee, "If she's going to treat you like that then I don't think she's worth it. Best just finish it with her, I think."
Corey blinks lazily.
He had better not fall asleep...
Chee decides it's time to take action. She leans over and kisses him.
After a moment Corey pulls away, frowning. Chee looks at him. "She's not worth it," she whispers, and moves in again.
And this time he doesn't stop her.
His glass of water falls to the ground, followed a moment later by Chee's pretty orange and yellow top.

Tomtom groans, her head heavy with what Riley had described as "Hangoverness."
"Don't tell mum or dad, yeah?" Tomtom had muttered to her little sister.
"Sure," Riley had replied. "But what the hell were you up to? Wearing my jeans?"
"I was out getting pissed, isn't it a bit obvious?"
"There was no need to pinch my stuff through."
"Just shut up and go away, Riley."
Tomtom gazes up at the ceiling. How could she have been so stupid? Last night she had done some pretty rank stuff. She suddenly realises that she hadn't been wearing a bra when she woke up in bed. She must have left it.
She groans again. Stupid, stupid Tomtom.
Bleurgh.

Corey yawns and rolls over. He opens his eyes.
What the...
Lying next to him is... CHEE?!
He sits up abruptly, throwing the covers off him - only to shove them straight back on.
Damn, where the hell is my underwear?
He looks around. Chee's bedroom is very pink. But there's no sign of his clothes.
He glances uncertainly at Chee, then leaps out of the bed and scuttles out the room, his hands trying to keep his dignity.
There they are!
His clothes are lying next to the sofa. He grabs them and pulls them quickly on, muttering the word "sh*t" over and over again.
What the hell had he been thinking last night?
He can't remember a thing. Well, not much. Alison accusing him of taking drugs, him drinking lots, Chee outside in the car...
He remembers being in her apartment. He remembers her giving him water. Then...
The memory isn't very clear, but it's certainly there.
He hears his cell phone ringing in his pocket. He snatches it up.
It's Alison.
He hesitates, then presses the answer button.
"...Hey Alison."
"Hi." Pause. "Um..."
Corey gets there first. "About last night. What happened?"
"Oh, I'm so sorry. Really." She sounds quite upset. "I know you wouldn't do anything like that, it's just Chee told me..."
Corey's heart misses a beat.
Chee told her...
"That I've been smoking?"
"Yeah, and... I dunno... I didn't think she'd be lying or anything."
It certainly doesn't take a genius to work out what she's been playing at.
"Look, where are you?" Alison asks. "I want to talk to you."
"I'm... uh... Well, I'll come round to yours in a moment, yeah?"
"Yeah, sure." She sounds pretty happy now. "See you in a minute. Bye!"
Her phone clicks off.
Dammit, what the hell have I done?

"Hey, Shezza."
Shezza recognises the voice. It's Mark.
She whirls round. "What the hell do you want?"
"You. And you want me."
She stares at him incredulously. "Since when did I want you?"
"Since a long time ago." He isn't apologetic. He's trying to be persuasive. "So stop acting like a spoilt little girl and come back with me, eh?"
Shezza turns round and starts to walk away. "Shezza..."
"WHAT -"
She turns to look at him again, only to recieve a hard punch in the face.
It sends her crashing down onto the pavement, where her head hits the hard concrete. Her mind blacks out completely.
Mark's shadowy figure looms above her. "I've got you now, sweetheart. Let's go home."

sorry about this, but i am actually in england for a week (which isnt where i live) so i dont have access to my computer which has all the written files of vclb on them. this means the next ep should be out on sunday or monday, but until then you can read some series two previews i've taken from some of the first eps (i havent finished writing series one, but iv started a little bit of series two. hmm.)

Corey and Alison look at each other.
"I'm sorry," she says again.
"Look, it's fine." He forces a smile. "Chee obviously doesn't have a clue what she's on about."
"Well, I'll ask her about it. She probably just made a mistake."
Yeah. Right. Mistake my ass.
"You want to go somewhere later?" Alison asks. "The new pub's opening at the end of the road, we could go there. Half price drinks for opening night. And I'm paying for them," she adds, "After being so horrible."
"You weren't being horrible!" Corey protests, feeling that he owes Alison a lot more than just a drink. A confession, maybe? An apology? For sleeping with her friend?
Something tells me she won't be happy if I tell her about that.
"I'll buy my own drinks," he says quickly. "I'll see you there about seven, yeah?"
"Sure." She gets up to leave.
"Alison -"
"Yeah?"
"I... I love you."
She paused for a moment. "...Really?"
"Uh... yeah."
Her face breaks into a pretty smile. "I love you too."
And she leaves.
Corey sits at the table, alone. His sister Nancy comes in.
"That was pretty deep," she comments. "You've only known each other a couple of weeks."
"So?" Corey snaps, trying to sound annoyed.
"Hey, no offence meant mate!" Nancy steps back, "I was just saying..."
"Well..." he sighs. "I do love her."
Nancy notices the half worried, half guilty look on his face. "What's wrong? You told her you loved her, she said it back..."
She frowns. "You haven't done anything stupid have you?"
He gets up and shuts the the door. Then he turns round and looks at her.
"I don't know what the hell I'm supposed to do, Nancy."

A large hammer hits Shezza hard on the head. She cries out in pain.
But not really. She slowly opens her eyes, the pain making her head feel heavy.
There is no hammer. Just Mark.
"Hello there, sweetheart," he says menacingly, smirking. "I've got you now."
She tries to shout at him, reach out to him and slap him, punch him, kick him... just inflict some sort of pain. But she can't move anything... she looks down and realises that she's bound to the chair she is sitting on by hard, coarse rope. Her mouth is smothered by a black scarf.
She can't speak, or move.
"You don't mess with me, sweetheart," Mark mutters, a menacing smile playing about on his mouth. "I've got you now. You can't get away, you'll never get away... I have you and I know what I'm doing with you. So lets start now, shall we?"
Shezza suddenly realises what's going on, what he's about to do... as he advances on her she tries to scream...
But no sound comes out.

No, Mark, please no...
Shezza tries to shout out, but all that comes out her mouth is a muffled strain.
Mark upzips her jeans. "Shut up," he snaps, and slaps her across the face. She winces, her head flopping. He laughs. "Shoul have stayed with me, shouldn't you? Shouldn't have turned up and surprised me like that, should you?" he shakes his head. "You've been a naughty little girl Shezza, and now you need to be punished. And there is clearly nothing you can do about it so shut up and stay still."
Shezza's eyes start watering - she feels Mark grab the legs of her trousers and tries to scream again...
BANG

Nancy stares at Corey. "You naughty little..."
"Look," he says quickly, "It was a mistake. I was drunk. Alison and I had fallen out, yeah? Chee told her I'd been taking drugs and she got really angry at me -"
"You've been taking drugs too?"
"No! No, Chee just told her I had. And then she dragged me into her car and took me back to her place and... and..."
Nancy shakes her head, her eyes disbelieving. "My own little brother..."
"It wasn't my fault!" Corey protests, "I didn't know what the hell I was doing! If it makes you feel any better, I feel like s**t at the moment. I do love Alison, and if she ever finds out about this then..." he slumps, biting his lip. Nancy sighs. "I'm sorry. Well, I won't say anything, but what about Chee..."
Corey's head snaps up, a look of alarm on his face. "Damn!" he shouts, "That b**** is going to open her big mouth and spill everything to Alison! It's obvious she's set the whole thing up, she's hardly going to keep her mouth shut is she?" He leaps up and disappears out the door so fast that Nancy reels back, sure that she's just been hit by a tornado.

The locked door behind Shezza and Mark is being... kicked? Someone's certainy doing something to it. There's a voice coming from the other side - a male voice, quite deep. "What's going on in there? Are you okay?"
Shezza tries to make as much noise as she can, screaming as loudly as possible from behind the scarf. Mark hits her again, but she keeps on screaming. He grabs her head and shakes it hard. She feels like it's about to come off, and like her brain is swelling up.
The door crashes to the ground.
Shezza's back is to the door. She tries to turn round but the ropes are too tight. Mark leaps up. "Oi!" he shouts, "You have no business here!" Only to recieve a punch in the face from the man. Shezza looks up at him, her head still spinning.
He is tall, with fairly short dark hair. Not bad looking... but Shezza's mind isn't really on that now. He leaps in front of her and immediately begins untying her. As he pulls the scarf from her mouth, Shezza can't help herself - she bursts into tears.
The man's untying quickens, and soon she is free again. Mark stirrs, and the man kicks him in the face. Then he turns back to Shezza. She grabs his offered hand and heaves herself shakily up from the chair.
Still sobbing, she falls into his arms. He doesn't protest, he doens't speak. Neither does she. He simply holds her as she sobs into his t-shirt.
