ban circus animals

was watching the news and it said that the government want to make new laws for circus animals so they are treated better but animal rights groups want animals to be banned from circuses. so i was wondering what peoples views were on this

well ive never been to a circus with animals either cos my mums dead against it, but they keep like elephants and tigers and stuff in small cages

i think its cruel- as an entertainer i find thatits much better being in a circus without animals- you have more chance to see skills than come animals

nope there are apparently still 3 circuses with animals in the uk, some animals were banned from being in circuses though

oh right. by the sounds of it (cages with the animals) it sounds really cruel. so i think i would change my veiw and say yes it should be banned.

The animals have a right to be free- not locked in a cage and jumping through fire. I don't think animals should be in Circus what do they get out of it- ummm nothing just that they get scared

Ban them, at the end of the day would you want to be doing what these animals have to do and i think that no matter how much they changed the laws some would still slip through the net and get mistreated.

Ban them i think its terribly cruel to keep big animals like that locked in a cage then getting them to perform for our amuesment,i sure we can find that will amuse uswithout invovlving animals in this way.

I said they should be banned from circuses. It is cruel and inhumane. I would refuse to see a circus containing animals and they should be banned immediately. It's not natural for animals to be kept locked up in tiny cages and have then jumping through hoops and performing tricks etc. just for entertainment. Ban them now

well maybe the ones being used now wouldnt be able to go back to the wild, but it would stop other animals being taken from the wild to perform

Yes, ban them! People don't know how the animals feel, they don't know the animal and the animal can't speak.
