Shayne to record with Robbie Williams

X Factor's Shayne has reportedly been asked to fly to LA to record with Robbie Williams.

The ex-Take That star wanted to write and record with the competition winner, but apparently Simon Cowell has not taken the news well and so has stopped the move.

A source quoted in More magazine says: "Simon Cowell was not overly happy about Robbie working with Shayne so soon after the show. He worries Shayne will get too big for his boots.

"Louis loved the idea. He really wanted Shayne to go to LA and write with Robbie – but ultimately Simon can over-rule any decisions over Shayne’s career"

Shayne was signed to Cowell's record label, BMG, after winning last year's X Factor in December.

Noooo! He can't record with Robbie, it would wreck Robbie for me! I hate Shayne's voice and a duet would be awful. I would be loving Robbie's part and hating Shaynes.

why the hell would Robbie want to to do this?! he hates stuff like like, i mean he did a duet with Kylie because he thinks she fab and she's a legend- but some random reality TV star? i thought he hated that stuff.

i think it would be good for them to do a record together but i think its a bit too soon at the moment

he needs to get more experience and record more songs before he can do a record with anyone Simon is only looking out for him

If he records with Robbie it will look like he is only doing it cause he can't make it on his own.... Robbie has made a career and it will look like Shayne is trying to move up by using robbie..

Not sure I fully believe this story - can't see Robbie recording with X-factor winner but I could be wrong - hope it doesnt happen as I cannot stand Shayne, and think if this did happen he would get miles too big for his boots.

I dont think it would be a good thing shayne is still a nobody really and robbie is an icon of the music industry it would just be wrong
