Just watching 100 greatest love songs on VH1:

At number:

8: Nothing compares 2 U - Sinead O'Conner (Written by Prince and originally written as a duet with Rosie Gains. IMHO Prince writes some of the most erotic love songs)
7: Everything I do (I do it for you) - Bryan Adams (Awesome song. The number of people I know that have had this played at their wedding!)
6. My heart will go on - Celine Dion (Listening to this, my heart doesn't want to go on. Pass me the puke bucket, quick)
5. Flying without wings - Westlife (So high? Seems average to me)
4. I will always love you - Whitney Houston (A classic but does it deserve to be at 4?)
3. When you say nothing at all - Ronan Keating (See 5 above)
2. Unchained Melody - Righteous Brothers (Not No1?! This is the all time classic that has women going weak at the knees (or in some cases, opening at the knees  ). I want stats to see how many kids were conceived to this classic!)
1. Hero - Enrique Inglesias (Ok, its a good song, but at number 1?!)

I guess these are all mainstream songs and as much as I like them, my top 10 would be totally different.

But Enrique at number 1 - oh please!

'Roxette - It must have been love' & 'Foreigner - I wanna know what love is' should have been in the top 8! :p

It certainly isn't what I would have put at number one - its an ok song, but its not what i would call a timeless classic that will stay in our memories for years like unchained melody

Yup - they're also missing "Always - Bon Jovi" and "How do I live - Leann Rimes"

Like I said everyone has their own opinions of what should be in the top 10.

Out of the list I would have put sinead o'connor at number 1 but i agree with NB Bon jovi is a classic song

these polls always suck, and thats proof, Bryan Adams song is a timeless classic, and happens to be my fav song of all time.

im no fan of the song either. My top ten would have been slightly different. Westlife and Ronan would stay where they are though.

I wouldn't have had Enrique at number 1, my top ten would have been completely different apart from Unchained Melody.

Why isnt Wind Beneath My Wings in there? Just hearing the intro sets me off bawling :crying: and where is Candle in the Wind from when Diana died?
