Sir Jimmy Savile returned to the house this afternoon to make the celebrities' dreams come true.

Yesterday the housemates had penned letters asking Sir Jimmy to fix it for them. Despite the short turnaround time, he came back today, having managed to fulfill most of their requests.

Sir Jimmy took his place on his trademark armchair, which was moved into the house for the occasion, as the celebrities gathered around him on beanbags.

"These are the most unselfish letters that I've ever read," he said sincerely, before going through each letter in turn.

Michael, who had "often wondered what it was like to fly a big jet", asked to fly in a big jet simulator. "We are speaking to the airline that is going to take you back [home]," said Sir Jimmy. "We'll take you up in the flight deck while it's in the air and we're trying to find out if there is a simulator you can go in too."

George wanted to go to the Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles next month. Given the tall order of such a request, Sir Jimmy was unable to bag him an invite but did manage to arrange for him to go to the next best thing. "The Americans take notice of our Oscar ceremonies, which are the BAFTAs, so I thought a nice night out with your lady at the British Oscars might be a nice idea."

Faria "wanted to do a nice thing. She wanted to help people in another country and do some of that sort of work overseas." Sir Jimmy has arranged for some people to speak with her when she leaves the house so she can become a missionary.

Sir Jimmy decided to keep Traci's request secret, but assured her that it would be fulfilled. "Our friend here wants something that she's already got," he said enigmatically. "We can sort out what you want, no problem. Under the circumstances, I'll keep it to me and I'll keep it to you. I'll deal with you privately."

Preston asked if he could appear in an episode of EastEnders. Sir Jimmy has arranged for him to go on a set tour but thinks they will "jump at the chance" to give him a cameo part.

Maggot wanted the group to be able to watch a "nice comedy film" in the house. "The problem with that is for us to follow copyright and that if you watch a film for an hour and a half, they'll have nothing to look at," explained Sir Jimmy. Instead, Sir Jimmy will compile a video of his best Fix Its and send a copy to each housemate once the show is over.

Chantelle asked to be a pop star, following her temporary stint as a member of Kandyfloss. "There's nothing I can't do," said Sir Jimmy, before whipping out a copy of her single 'I Want It Right Now'. He also asked the three professional musicians - Pete, Maggot and Preston - to spend an hour in another room with her to give advice. He added: "All of you are totally different and each one of you would be able to put a little input into her."

Sir Jimmy admitted to being "knocked over" by the unselfish request of Dennis. "The champ could frighten people if they didn't know him. [What he wants] is the exact opposite of what he puts out." Sir Jimmy presented Dennis with a voucher, exchangeable in the diary room, for a "deluxe hamper of relaxtion and pampering products" for the entire group to enjoy.

A lovesick Pete asked Sir Jimmy to see his partner. "As we all know, when you're parted from somebody, it's not the nicest of things," he said. "Obviously under the short notice, we can't bring him down here but what we've done is a lovely video message." A short message was then played out on the plasma screen, reducing the normally steely Pete to tears.

Finally, Rula made another request that would benefit the group. "She wanted to be able to provide some special pleasure for each of the housemates in here, which I've done." Heading to the store room, Rula discovered ten goody bags - one for each housemate.

With everyone's requests fulfilled, Jimmy presented each housemate with their own Jim'll Fix It badge with the wording "Jim fixed it for me".

"Now.. I've got the hump," Sir Jimmy announced. "How come I have been left out? There might be another bag for me in the store room."

Having retrieved his bag, Jimmy presented one final gift to the group. "I always bring my own dinner," he began. "I went out for a takeaway last night and it would be piggish of me to eat these on my own.... so would anybody like one of these prawn crackers?"
