Sir Jimmy Saville has agreed to an overnight stay in the house this weekend, The Sun reported today.

The TV legend had originally been expected to pop in for lunch only, having earlier rejected an offer to join the show as a fully-fledged housemate.

Now Saville is thought to be entering on Saturday and will leave on Sunday. An insider told the newspaper that he would be taking "surprises" such as luxury food in with him.

Yes, nearly 17 years on, I am still traumatised. I think he said something like "If you play your cards right, you could have me."

Jimmy Saville has entered the Big Brother house to 'Fix It' for one housemate.

After the box task was completed, housemates lounged around making lunch. Suddenly, the Jim'll Fix It themetune began to play and the doorbell to the house rang. All housemates bar Americans Dennis and Traci recognised the tune, and gathered at the front door.

Jimmy entered and immediately began a charm offensive, joking with Dennis and Traci. Michael, who previously appeared on Jim'll Fix It, got down on his knees and kissed Jimmy's hand.

Jimmy revealed that he was not here as a housemate, adding: "I'm here to fix something for you... we'll see what it is for you later today."

He was unable to reveal any more, explaining to housemates that he had to wait for Big Brother to tell him what to do next.

19. But I was still too young for him all those years ago!

Mind you, fair play to the geezer for getting 150 000 big ones for less than 36 hours work.
