Wasn't sure where to put this, so I've posted it here. Apologies if it's in the wrong place.
Ex-Eastender Sid Owen has landed a part in ITV's award-winning prison drama Bad Girls, a spokeswoman has confirmed.
Owen, who starred as Walford's Ricky Butcher and recently appeared in I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, will assume the role of new prison officer Donny Kimber.
An spokeswoman said: "Donny's naive, which isn't really a good characteristic for a screw looking after some of the characters locked up in Larkhall. Up until now, he's been working elsewhere in the prison and we finally see him when he's transferred to G-wing."
Owen will join the action when filming begins on series eight next month, which is expected to air later this year.
