Not quite. This is how it works:

lets say 10 members register, and each has a number from 1 to 10
Member number 5 decides they want to unregister
We now have 9 members registered
Another member signs up - they get the member id of 11, and we have 10 registered users

Thanks to everyone that took part in the competition. There were a lot of wild guesses and a lot of fairly accurate ones! The 5000th member registered on 07/06/05 @ 10.01am.

SpicySpy and ~Sooz~ had a lot of correct guesses on the day but were unfortuntely out on the time!

Brenda1971 had an entry (http://www.soapboards.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=66923&postcount=211) which was just 54 minutes out.

Di Marco has an entry (http://www.soapboards.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=64931&postcount=184) which was just 49 minutes out.

But the winner of the competition, with a guess that was only 46 minutes out is .......
