Chantelle found herself at the centre of the latest house row with Jodie this evening.

The spat was rooted in prestons partof the experiment-themed shopping task, which involved him eating a large box of liqueur chocolates to see if he could get drunk. As he entered the final stretch, a disagreement broke out between Michael and Chantelle over how best to encourage him.

Soon after Jodie and Chantelle disappeared into the diary room together, re-raising George's earlier concerns over Jodie's influence on her new friend.

When the pair exited, the group had gathered round to confront Jodie. "The facts are that you have turned that girl... for your own purpose," George told Jodie, an accusation that appeared to take her aback. "There's no conspiracy going on," she insisted. "This is insane. She's from my home town, I'm going to get on with her."

The confrontation included contributions from every housemate - including Traci, who had previously kept away from conflict - all of whom shared the opinion that Jodie's alliance with Chantelle had some other motive behind it.

"I thought the game was about strategy... that's what I was getting from you," said Traci. "When you're living in a family, do you only cling to one person?"

"We should have stayed from the beginning as one group, one family and one community under one roof," added George. "If we'd have done that this would have been a very pleasant experience."

Meanwhile, Chantelle ventured outside - joined by Preston and George - to try and make amends with Michael.

"I like Jodie and I like everyone, but it's hard for me to be with Jodie and be with everyone else because no-one's getting on with Jodie," Chantelle explained in reference to the claims that she was part of a clique.

George affirmed to Chantelle that all of the group liked her but shared concerns that she was being led astray by Jodie and her "ulterior motives". "All of us here are very different people but we had a responsibility for the purposes of us all retaining our sanity, to try and get on with each other," he said. "Most people feel, for whatever reason, that Jodie's gone off on one. Most people's perception is that she's dragged you into that."

"I'm piggy in the middle to nine people and one," declared Chantelle, adding that it was difficult for her to be part of the group when so much hostility was aimed at Jodie.

"That's why we're angry with her - she shouldn't make you piggy in the middle to her," George replied. "That's not fair. I don't know how we're going to resolve this but we're going to have to try or we're going to be making a fool of ourselves in front of the whole country for the next X days."

He added: "I have done nothing except shower affection on you. You're the apple of my eye."

Preston told Chantelle that he felt as if he was in the same position as her and, with a resolve in mind, added: "I just think we should just try and work on making better relationships with each other."

Seemingly exhausted from the day's arguments, Jodie decided to get a very early night, leaving Chantelle to mingle with the other housemates.

Apparently she when in there to change the public's opinion of her, to me all she's done is reinforce peoples opinions of her.

Well as much as I will agree Jodie is a slapper George and several other housemates are bullying her, if her and chantelle want to be mates let them, at the end of the day Chantelle is an adult who can make her own decisions.

my opinion of michael barrymore has totally gone downhill, i was all for giving him a clean slate as he had done nothing wrong but he is acting like a total prat!!

and chantelle is old enough to decide who she wants to talk to and spend time with.

Get Jodie out!

Another talentless minger thats made a fortune from being a slapper. I couldn't agree more,I think as you get older you learn to see through people, better than you can, when you are a teenager, that is theyway,we all have to learn.with experiance. Bullied I cant see she is being bullied,Advised may be. But she is controlling chantele, whom as was seem last night was a differant person when Jodie wasn't either watching or gone to bed.People are saying that they are both Adults :rotfl: only by age number, neither of them have held a intelligent conversation since they have been in the house, chantele seems aged to only 10. She hasn't got a clue about anything.
