View Full Version : Paul O'Grady inks deal with Channel 4

ITV teatime star Paul O'Grady has signed a new deal with Channel 4, it emerged today.

The move is a bitter blow for ITV's recently-named director of television Simon Shaps - just two months ago, the show topped the 3 milion mark in the ratings. The show habitually trounced Channel 4's Richard and Judy, and periodically nipped at Weakest Link's heels over on BBC Two.

No details have been made available at this stage as to where O'Grady will appear on Channel 4's schedule, although some reports indicate that the deal includes a daily show

I hope they have him to replace Richard and Judy, I can't stand them two. Paul is brilliant at what he does,I went to one of the shows just before xmas and it was really good

I agree i do not like Richard and Judy either and i always watch Pauls show i think he is fab.

I hope they allow him to keep to a format he wants and not what they want though - he is brilliant and his ad-libbing is the best

good luck to paul o' Grady hope he takes over from Richard and Judy for good cause i don't like them where as paul's a good laugh

I heard on LBC radio last night that he signed a £2 million deal,and he will be joining forces with Richard and Judy, I really hope they have made a mistake,channel four were losing viewers to Paul,so thats why they have got him,I reckon.I really hope they are wrong,but thats what they said.

i think they have said that richard and judy show will be on 6mths of the year and paul ogrady the other 6mths

oh no not paul o grady am i the only person who cant stand the bloke. Why do TV channels insist in putting bad telly on at 5 oclock

i really hope they keep the show exactly the same as it is fantastic!! as long as they allow him to have olga and buster on set with him!! and keep the nodding busters as i didn't get one last series, and they produce the nodding olga's!!
