Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty has been formally charged with possession of cocaine and heroin.
The 26-year-old frontman was arrested by police on suspicion of possessing class A drugs while driving in west London on 30 November.
The former Libertines star is due to appear at Ealing Magistrates Court in west London on Wednesday.
A police spokeswoman refused to comment on reports that Doherty had invited his fans at a gig to join him in court.
"If there is an incident, then we will deal with it accordingly," she said.
Babyshambles played in Camden, north London on Monday. They are due to play in Sheffield on Tuesday and Stoke-on-Trent on Wednesday.
