Fred is going to have a massive heart attack. It will happen in his Butchers Shop. It will be fatal. He is leaving Coronation Street later this year. He has been saying some uncomplimentary things about the show's producers.

yeah it was in the sun yesterday.
That he wants Fred to die naturally it didn't mention anything about him having a massive heartattack.

i say poor ashley, what more can go wrong
- losing his eyesight
- losing his son (matt coming back for joshua) :thumbsdow
- then the icing on the cake his father is to die. :hmm:
Suppose its the only way to give him and claire a story as they say in acting once a couple's had a kid the storylines are harder to write for the couple and they aren't involved in the shows' action as much!

The actor who plays fred has asked corrie to kill him off but they are trying to get him to change his mind.

Just wondering - since when is Ashley supposed to lose Joshua? I heard this rumour when Maxine died....and that was around the time of Richard Hillman - how is it still floating around? Surely if it was seriously going to happen, it would have happened by now? Or is it more than just a rumour now? Please somebody, I'm confused

There is a link on the DS forums where it has been reported the rumours are false. The actor who plays Fred Elliot is not leaving the show.

This morning said it was not true aswell. But there were rumers going around that he had a heat attack in his shop.
i would not believe everthing you read in the papers!!!!!!!

awwww poor fred i say poor fred :p....so freds going out of the show !? its hardly slagging the show off is it !? its just an opinion !.
