i thought he was a good writer for corrie so i hope we get a good writer to carry on otherwise corrie will go down hill

There are plenty of other good writers in Corrie. After all writing is one of their strengths. Therefore the chances of it going downhill after this news are, tbh, very remote.

It's a loss, as is the possible retirement of John Stevenson, but I doubt it will make much of an (negative) impact.

Oh and yes, Daran is the one who will defend Kate Ford's acting right to the end. :rolleyes:
